Why isn't my Proton VPN connecting?

Proton VPN is a virtual private network (VPN) app that makes a secure connection between your computer and the Proton Network (ProtonVPN servers). Why is ProtonVPN disconnecting me every few minutes? Due to its VPN client's open design, it is hard for us to identify and fix every potential problem which may interrupt your connection. When you're connected, you have an IP address assigned by the ProtonVPN network, which means you're online. When you disconnect, you lose your IP address and can no longer access the internet.

Why don't the settings in my VPN client match what I entered at the website? In most cases, the reason for this issue is because of cross-site scripting (XSS). XSS attacks occur when an attacker controls a website that sends malicious Javascript code to your device, which forces your VPN app to send this information to the company instead of to the web browser. This kind of attack is most likely only active during the time you visit the VPN client, and not when you log into the website.

Why is Proton VPN not working on Android?

I have been using Proton VPN on my iMac for many years, and I don't seem to be able to use it on my Android tablet. Is it because I am a guest on their website? I have followed all of the instructions and I still can't access my Proton VPN account.

I tried using the IPad and iPhone apps, and they didn't work either. I also downloaded the Android app and it gave an error when I tried to log in. What I found interesting is that I am able to access my Proton VPN account on my android tablet when I use the web browser. So the problem is with the mobile app.

I have updated my phone to the latest version, and I have the latest version of Proton VPN. I can see the Proton VPN icon in the menu, but when I tap it, it asks me to enter my username and password, which I can't find anywhere. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. I have tried updating the phone to the newest firmware and all of the troubleshooting steps, but nothing works. I am still not able to access my Proton VPN account.

Why is my VPN not working on my Android phone?

I've just purchased a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (GT-I9020). I want to use a VPN on my phone but can't seem to get it to work. It connects to the VPN but the apps (web browsing, messaging etc.) that have VPN options appear to ignore my VPN settings. What am I doing wrong?

Hello! I've just purchased a Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime (GT-I9020). It connects to the VPN but the apps (web browsing, messaging etc.

Thank you for your time, since I'm really stuck and would appreciate any help! I had the same problem with a Samsung Galaxy S5. First time setup, no problems with other devices. After 2 days I gave up and got a new phone from a different carrier. I got the new phone setup and still nothing. Tried on multiple carriers, both with Verizon and Sprint, no dice. Tried different VPN apps and they all seemed to work fine. I gave up and tried to switch back to Google's stock VPN, and it didn't work either.

I've tried restarting the phone, changing WiFi channels, clearing app cache, and other stuff but still no VPN access. On my phone, it says the VPN connection is "disconnected". I have both the standard VPN (that doesn't work) and then the PPTP VPN (which I used before with a VPN on my PC). Tried both on WiFi, on LTE and USB tether, and it won't work at all. Does anybody have an idea what the problem might be?

My WiFi is WPA2 Personal and the VPN uses WPA2 Personal on the other side. Re: Why is my VPN not working on my Android phone? If there's any further information missing or any details that you need, please let me know. The only thing I didn't have was the "check for updates" feature on my device. I don't think that's necessarily related to your issue, but I went ahead and clicked it anyway and got a "new software update available" message.
