How to reduce ping when playing in other regions?

How to lower ping when playing in other regions lol?

My friend who plays in a server where he is the main I guess is trying to get a ping around 45 to 50.

He then decides to play at a different time when I'm online and when I go in we are both at around 250-300 ping. He had told me this problem he has when playing on a different server.

How do you play other regions without your ping being around 200? I am in America (Central) and I'm having trouble being around 100 ping. I get very low ping on EU servers since I cannot be above 70 for EU players, so what can I do to get a lower ping when playing at EU times, I don't have this problem with the same server but with other servers.

No I am the one thats playing in an american server and I'm trying to lower my ping. So all he's saying is that my ping is to high for him and when he plays at other times its fine, is that not what he is trying to say? Is he the person talking in the first person that plays with me when I'm online and then when i'm online he can have a 300 ping if he wants but it's the one who talks in the first person? Stop using gamecenter and other sources which use an internet connection. Get yourself a decent router/modem.

Get a VPN (virtual private network) like IPsec. Use a VPN to tunnel into a EU server and change your region to there.

IPsec does not work in gamecenter. I tried many many options but was always blocked in game center. I went to many forums to try IPsec but noone could help.

Will using a VPN lower ping?

I know using a VPN will protect your location (as a proxy won't) but would it also lower ping? I'm not asking about downloading torrents or anything malicious, just for normal stuff like browsing and streaming videos. Yes, I was hoping this but I can't find any sources or any other responses saying the same thing. What's funny is that the only person who told me not to use one said he/she thought it was the best thing to do since more of our connection will go through the VPN server.

The issue you have is that the "remote" destination of your internet connection is actually in a very different place than where you are sitting. So, if you're sitting at Starbucks, and their DNS server sends packets to Google, they can get a much better signal for Google than the internet signal you're getting from your provider (that's not a VPN - it's the "cable modem" you get from your ISP). VPNs do not "hide" your IP address. You can see your IP address in every packet, and if you are using a VPS or Cloud service with it's own IP address, that IP address will be seen. This is how you will be identified if you're using Tor or if you are using your own IP address.
