Is season 3 of Bad Batch over?

The Season 3 finale of Bad Batch did not disappoint.

The season that began with our protagonist, Sartana, going undercover in a drug lord's mansion, ended with him getting shot in the stomach and falling out of a helicopter. There was even some great action in the end, which was the first time in the series where the action really stood out from the comic. Sartana is on life support, but he still managed to survive one of the most intense scenes the show has ever had.

I am still trying to get back into the flow of this season. What really hurts is that after 3 months of waiting for it, this season finale came out of nowhere. Now I will need to wait another 9 weeks for season 4!

But since this episode wasn't all about Sartana, this does mark the end of Bad Batch Season 3. This means that after 9 more episodes of Sartana we should be able to see a new protagonist take center stage. A new leader. One who will lead the survivors against the drug lords and help them regain their lost honor.

In the last episode, Sartana was captured and left alone in the rain to bleed to death. He was taken to the hospital, where the doctors gave him a shot in the stomach to stop the bleeding. But then something happened. They had to get Sartana out because they needed him to help save some other people. Then the helicopter flew off.

Now after the action scene at the end of the episode, the only thing I could think of was that the drug lord that he was working for had put a bullet in his stomach and caused internal bleeding. Sartana would have bled out, except that they would have saved him by flying him to the hospital. That is the only explanation that makes sense. But even so, I can't help but think that his entire body would have been shot through.

This would have been done to create some suspense or perhaps a sense of tragedy, as if he was giving up. But as the season continues, I feel like this is also something they did on purpose because I couldn't get my mind around how he lived through the entire episode. Maybe he is more powerful than we think. Perhaps the power wasn't enough to save him, but it was enough to make the doctor stop shooting him.

What? You thought it would be like every other site where you can subscribe to their update email? No. As we all know, Netflix produces this in house with their Theater feature where they create shows and then produce them on demand. And that is how the titles are numbered on Netflix. They go The Bad Batch (number one), The Next Great Thing (2) and so on.

The bad batches are what they call their new releases. And if that weren't enough, there's also The Newest Great Thing (TNGT) which are the big movies they release in theaters. That goes for all the big theatrical movies, not just the ones they created. For example, Avengers: Endgame, Dumbo, Incredibles 2 and A Quiet Place were TNGT. All of the big movies will have their own titles which will follow the same numbering system.

I always wondered how much trouble they would have if the release schedule conflicts with an awards show like the Oscars or Golden Globes. But apparently that never happens because Netflix only has theaters scheduled for two days out of the year: December 22nd and January 5th. This way, they're able to produce both films and get them on the market on those days.

Weird right? They could change these days, just like they can change their names on TV. It's not quite clear why they do it, but I did find a few reasons in this article that I found on the Internet.

What time will Bad Batch season 3 release?

Bad Batch season 2 premiered on SundanceTV, Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon in August 2026 with a three-day straight-to-series premiere, followed by four days of bonus content.

Will there be bad batch season 4?

The season 5 finale of Breaking Bad will air in the US this Sunday.

I don't expect there to be a major season 6 announcement until after the finale, so at this point it seems to be in the cards that there will not be another season 5.

I do think that it is highly likely that there will not be a season 6. In the past several seasons of Breaking Bad, AMC has made a habit of waiting until a season has wrapped up before announcing a series finale. Last season it was only a couple weeks after the season ended before we knew the end, and it was a two-hour series finale. This year, it's been six months since the season finale, and a two-hour series finale. It's hard to imagine that AMC would have announced the end of the show in May 2026 if they were thinking about airing a second season.

Yes, they won't announce it before the finale. That's why we are all hanging around here for the finale, getting ready for the aftershow special that comes on at 12:30AM ET.

I can't imagine there being a Season 6, at least not before the completion of Season 5, which ends next Sunday. The finale is still five days away. There could be a lot going on in the final few days before the end.
