Is there an AI that can do graphic design?

I have thought about this for a while, because my boyfriend is really good at graphic design.

He can type and use the computer, but he can't draw and design a website. I was always told growing up that AI was no good at graphic design, but I have now found out that the way it does graphic design is very complicated.

There are programs/software such as Photoshop that can mimic the basic tasks of graphic design but those require human intervention. There's too much complexity for software to ever do graphic design completely.

However, there are certain things that software can handle. You may have success learning touch type in software then taking your skills to paper. Also, you will have a basic understanding of color, fonts, and layout before you ever put it all together. This could help greatly with graphic design.

I'm a big fan of Canva's design service, so I know they are using AI to create their designs for you. But I was wondering if Canva has advanced AI tools to create designs for you? Do you have to be aware of any of the services used by Canva? Or is there a specific AI tool used in creating Canva designs? Yes, there are many AI tools that are utilized by Canva. The design space itself, however, is much broader than what is typically considered as "AI". There are many AI tools like neural networks that work as powerful pattern recognition.

You can also use AI tools like reinforcement learning to train a neural network to do any task in your industry. I am not aware of the exact tool they use though, since I did not really look at the code.

When people ask me, do graphic designers need to know programming? I feel like they just don't understand how graphics and illustration work. I have a degree in Digital Art and Graphic Design. It can be hard to learn design without an understanding of programming, but it doesn't mean that you need to know how to write code or be able to get into the machine itself to change a single line of code. Some people might be afraid of knowing so much as a programmer, but do you really know how to use Photoshop or Illustrator without any concept of computer coding? I bet most do.
