How do I check my internet throttling?

As you are probably aware by now, we are aware that BT has been throttling the internet of our customers in our local area over the last few months.

We are still having to pay for access and we would appreciate it if we could check how much we have been charged. We have contacted BT but they are yet to respond.

Can you send me a message, please? I want to get in touch with BT to request my details as part of my claim for this. I just need to know how to do that. I don't have the code for my SIM and they haven't sent me anything, so I'm not sure what else I need to do.

Can I buy BT services without a contract? BT do offer services without a contract and there are benefits to this. For example, when you are a BT customer you are able to bundle multiple services and there is a discount available on some packages. You can also get this through us for no fee and no commitment and all you need to do is choose a package for yourself and pay a small one off fee for the equipment to be delivered.

Why is my internet so slow even though speed test says it is fast?

I have an issue where my internet speed on speedtest.

Net is not what I'm seeing with other internet speed testing apps and devices. It's really slow and it has been like this for a while now. It is also super slow when I'm downloading something.

I have a wired connection. I have tried resetting the modem to no avail. The wireless router is working fine and I can connect to the internet from my phone just fine. The problem was that the router was on, but not connected. So it was showing as connected but actually not. Just needed to disconnect it.

How do I Unthrottle my internet connection?

Note: Some DSL connections use a method known as fading to help improve speeds. However, the program is made for standard, non-fading DSL connections only. If your connection is in the fading state, then you must wait before throttling will work. If you continue to go in the slow rate, then you should follow the throttle and wait instruction above.

Connecting the Router/modem (or Wireless Router) to the network through the cable provided. The cable we are providing comes with the router box. This is what connects your router to your home network. The modem that comes in this box may use wireless for getting connected. If it is using wireless, then attach this port to your computer. 2. Attach the USB data cable that comes with the modem. The USB data cable is used to connect this modem to your computer and transfer the necessary information that we require to begin the process of throttling your connection. You do not have to turn on the modem, but it must already be setup to work with the modem through the USB ports on your computer.
