I have had my iPad since it was released and have used it with my children to play games and watch movies and to do homework. This has all been great but I am looking for a way to limit the time they can use their iPads. I am looking for something that would allow me to see what websites they are using and how long they spend on the internet. I don't want to do this over the phone. Is there anything that I can install on the iPad that will give me the answer to these questions?

I have tried several apps that do parental controls, including Family Link. The problem with them is that the rules and limitations are based on the user. I want to set some limits for the iPad so that they can only use the iPad for homework and games.

It could be setup as the default browser or something else, the parents could see what sites the children were visiting, and you could specify where they could and could not go. They could also get a list of your child's friends, their Facebook profile, and what you thought was appropriate.

I believe that it's still available for the iPhone, though it's been a while since I've used it. There are other apps that do parental controls but I have not found one that I like. I will have to try some more.

My 13 year old daughter is an amazing user when it comes to technology. I gave her this iPad when I found out she was addicted to video games. She knew how to turn off apps, shut down apps and even turn off the tablet.

She loves to watch movies on the iPad, and has made more than 20 before my husband and I intervened. There are apps for movies, but I believe Apple is moving away from them to allow what my daughter enjoys to be available to the public in their stores.

This has caused a lot of trouble for her in our home as she has been using it all day everyday. She won't use the sleep function. She wants it off, but we're trying to work through it.
