What's the best free app to track my child?

Is Life360 free for iPhone?

If you're planning on purchasing the iPhone 4, then Life360 is a software that will be invaluable to you.

I bought it for my dad a while back. It was the perfect app for him, because he gets very frustrated when he can't reach his family, without being in constant contact. He absolutely loves the fact that he has access to all of my phone calls, texts and pictures, with just one single touch.

The free version of Life360 is only limited in how many devices you can sync your contacts with, up to 2 devices. I bought him his phone, plus an iPod touch. This means he'll get three entries on his contacts list. It also means that every time his iOS device goes to sleep or is turned off, his contacts will be deleted!99.

I was given a free one, and it's much better than the original iPhone apps. If you have any iPhone users as family members, then this app is a must.

Life360 doesn't replace your existing contacts, or add your existing contacts, and it doesn't even store them in the cloud, where they're available on all your other devices, or from your PC. If you're worried about having the original name and address details stored in any cloud, which by the way is called the cloud, well then I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm not too crazy about that feature. I prefer to use iCloud to store all my photos, movies, contacts and everything else. I used to share my address book and contacts with friends who don't have an iPhone, via Google Sync. Now that I use Life360, they just have one less contact to share my number with!

I don't use a PC, and since I don't really need those contacts, it's not a big issue. But if you do use a PC and you really hate losing contacts, this is the tool for you!

What's the best free app to track my child?

I've been a mom of three and as much as I enjoy them, every day is filled with an ocean of diapers and wipes and dishes and laundry.

99 price tag, there are many other options out there.

There's the free and reliable Google Calendar app that lets you share your events and calendars with other family members, and there's also FamilyFolio which offers a wide variety of customizable tracking tools for your child's schedules. I decided to test out all three of these apps and see what works best for our family, how they compare to each other, and what I can actually use with my four-year-old who is really into music. How do you want to track your child? Google Calendar - This is the best option for those who prefer a free, non-intrusive app that syncs with most cell phones and computers. Since it's not in the Play Store, you'll have to download it on your computer and open the calendar manually.

The main calendar page lets you see all your family's events and schedules in one easy to navigate list. You can make sure your kids are at the movies by creating a reminder that pops up whenever they walk in their favorite theater. You can also send them text messages that let them know when you're close or let them know you're running late.

The app also allows you to create a separate calendar for your kid, so you can track his schedule and keep an eye on his progress in school without having to check up on him on your phone. You can make it so only he can edit the calendar or you can add him as an admin so he can add and delete his own events.

FamilyFolio - If you're looking for a more comprehensive app that tracks your kid's activities on his own, then FamilyFolio is for you. There's no monthly or yearly subscription fees to pay like there is with the free Google Calendar, so this is your best bet if you want to get the most out of your app. It comes with pre-made tracking charts, including things like homework, chores and bedtimes, so you don't have to worry about setting up new charts.

Is there a free app to track family members?

My family is extremely busy and travels all the time.

As an avid texter, I miss out on a lot. I often see new posts on Facebook, and my mom or dad are constantly in contact with their siblings or other family members. It would be awesome to be able to track them, or even all their friends so that I can at least get some kind of notification when they post something new. Anybody know if there's a free app out there that tracks you family's locations?

I'd use this app for my parents and grandparents, but how can I share it with them? I'm not sure what your relationship is with them, but I'd be willing to bet that a majority of your parents' contacts are Facebook. You can always try setting up another Facebook account for them and sharing your new account with your parents. When you update your status, have your parents hit the LIKE button.

Hey. I have been wondering the same thing. I have a couple of relatives that are constantly making posts on Facebook, but I don't want to make my friends think I'm stalking them all the time I'm sure many of these apps work better than I would hope. I just wish there was an app that could tell me who posted what on Facebook, and who liked what. Just curious if anyone knows any way to do that.

@Kellysmith - There isn't a direct way to do that, but you can setup a page for each of your family members and when you log into facebook you can use the like and follow buttons to like or follow that particular page. There's also this Facebook Buddy program that lets you create friends on Facebook that you are already friends with in real life. This lets you add a certain set of people to Facebook so you can see everything that those friends do.

There is also a program called SocialCite that can be used to monitor certain types of social networks like Twitter and Facebook. It has its own app for phones, but can also be used in a web browser.
