What is the best Facebook page scraper?

When your company needs to post to a business Facebook page you may think it is best to write a new press release, email everyone in the company and hope for the best, or write a short, but professional Facebook status message.

Most businesses don't have the time or talent to do all of these things right when they try to post on a business Facebook page, so they hire a social media management firm or software provider (like our clients) to do it all for them. But what does happen is Facebook's algorithm starts to promote certain pages over other pages even though the newer page has a more popular Facebook page. If that is not confusing enough, Google begins to rank that page higher than another on Google search results, too. Now this is where you can benefit!

You get the best traffic and sales and most of all great reviews from potential and current customers who liked your pages instead of that other website that came up on that first try that nobody liked it. So you do a little digging and discover that you were actually a fan of that company since the beginning of Facebook. They created and built a following and now all of a sudden they don't exist anymore, or rather a bunch of pages that look like that are.

Well, not a problem since you're the expert at marketing a Facebook page. It should have been easier to see it coming since there's a small box that says Delete Likes right next to all those posts they were putting on your business page and some even give us a choice! The only problem is, that Delete Like button that they offer looks so tiny that we didn't even click it! We were just going to look at your page, admire it and comment one post then scroll down to the next post. However, we could see a ton of potential customers leaving, too! The best solution if you find that you have over 200 people that haven't visited your site in the last month, a lot of which never came back for a good reason! You can try a service like ours. That's right, it takes us only a few minutes to crawl the webpages you listed and see if any of the profiles we look for on your page exist there.

Is it ethical? Or both? Is it right? When I made my first website, I had no idea whether the websites which were using unfairly high-scraping scripts to grab my site's pages would be caught and punished for that. In my case, they didn't get caught at all because my website has a very small page count (it is just a simple HTML website for a school student project).

However, when the sites which are big and well-known got caught, the site owners have to face lawsuits, which costs a lot of money and their website gets completely blocked. But even in these cases, the site owners don't face imprisonment, instead they would end up being fined.

With more and more sites being developed by scraping or hacking websites through the use of a variety of scraping scripts and browser extensions, and some of these scripts are used as key modules or features in the scraping scripts, you would think that people who are developing these types of scripts would do so with the knowledge that what they are doing would be unethical and possibly illegal. If the developers themselves haven't done the research, then maybe they would be oblivious to the fact that their scraping scripts can and probably will get them in hot water. Can I scrape posts from Facebook?

I'm looking to scrape some content from a Facebook page.

However, I don't have access to the code. Can anyone tell me how? If not, can someone at least give me a site I can download the content from, and use that to scrape.

Thank you in advance. No.

Facebook has restricted access to their data to their partners who create apps and web-sites that have a relationship with Facebook. They also enforce rules about scraping and scraping on their partners' behalf.
