How can I block a website on Chrome?

I'm running the beta version of the newest Chrome on Windows, and I'd like to block a website on it, but there doesn't seem to be any way to do it.

As far as I can tell, all the other browsers have some way of configuring your list of blocked sites, but that appears to be a dead end for me on Google's operating system. You don't need to install a plugin. This is now possible in the current stable build.

Just navigate to the browser's settings, open the 'Privacy' tab, then click the 'Privacy Badger' button. The last step, 'Block site', is new in the stable build, previously it was 'Notify me when a site tries to block content'. You can make it a permanent setting by checking the box, and you can define domains from that window instead of just blocking a site.

The only (current) solution available to users is to not use Chrome: On Windows. To be able to access the browser settings you need to type the following in your URL bar: chrome://browser/. On Linux. This only works in the Canary and Dev builds of Chromium at the moment. Navigate to the following url: chrome://settings/. Once you are at the Chrome settings page, navigate to the Privacy option, under that open the 'Privacy Badger' entry and click 'Enable'. Note that this option might not be enabled by default. The following worked for me (at the time of writing). Open the Safari menu. Go to Preferences. Then go to the General tab. Select the Sites option from the list on the left.
