Are AWS SSL certificates free?

Can I get SSL certificate for free?

I'm in the middle of trying to set up a site on a new server, and I would like to set it up with SSL.

I would really like to get my SSL certificate for free, but I cannot seem to find any resources. Does anyone know if there are any free SSL certificates out there? Or can I just use my current certificate that issued by DigiCert for free? Thanks for your help in advance!

I think you'll have to buy a paid certificate, unless you're running an OpenSSL server for SSL (like Apache).

As the name suggests, it is an easy way to create free certificates without any technical expertise. How to install free SSL certificate in AWS EC2?

I am trying to setup the SSL certificate on the EC2 instance.

But I don't have any idea about the process. Can anyone help me to install it? I have set up the security group as well.

In AWS Console go to EC2 -> Security Groups. Create a new security group. In the tab 'Ingress' create the inbound rules:
Source: - Group ID. - Protocol: tcp. - Port: 443. - Source: 0.0/0 Then, if you want to be able to access your EC2 instance from outside the network, you will have to associate this security group with the internet. So, in the same tab, add the rules: Destination: - Port: 80. - Source: 22. If you are using a free domain name, the IP address of the domain name will not be public. So, in the third tab of the security group, make sure to add the following rules: - Port: 22. After this, you should be able to connect to your EC2 instance from outside the AWS network, and be able to access the server's web interface via a browser using the Free Domain Name.
