I'm a newbie to VPNs and I need it.

Will I get faster Internet speed with one specific VPN or every vpn will give me same speed?

Will it improve the ping? (I use ping to test if network is fast). Is there any difference in bandwidth usage? What is the best VPN for streaming media? Right now, I am using Unblockus for this but I am using it on my phone. It's not that fast, very laggy.

If someone can tell me if there is any difference or which one gives better speeds? Will help a lot as this is first time I have to ask such question and I don't know which one to choose. I have heard that I will get same speed with all the vpn. Is it true or not?

The best way to stream media is usually the least expensive one: If you want to use your phone, you can download a dedicated app from the website. I think both of these have been discussed on this forum before.

If you want to use another device, you should look into something that works with your router. If you are concerned with internet-safety you might want to choose a private tunnel like OpenVPN, because it encrypts your traffic between your computer/phone and the VPN server, making it much harder for someone to intercept your traffic. But if you have problems with speed/security in general you might as well use a public tunnel like PPTP/IPSec/L2TP Thanks J. That would help a lot. But my question is how do I know which VPN will give me best speed?

I am downloading torrents via bittorrent, I just don't know which is the best choice. (not much experience here). Any suggestions? Or even some resources would help a lot.

Which VPN country is best for IPTV?

Do any of you have any experience with VPNs in the IPTV or internet TV market?

I am currently looking into VPN providers for our clients. My concerns/problems: I think a major problem we will run into is when you connect to an IPTV provider/service, only the data from a certain country can be watched (so no matter which country we are signed in from, it will never be able to watch all the content they have). If we use a VPN provider to change our location, when we connect to their service, it will not change our VPN IP to that of the country we are viewing (meaning if we had a US IP address, a VPN US would still leave our country). I don't know if any of these companies offer the ability to change your VPN IP location or if they are locked into one country or something like that. As an example, Sky IPTV could show USA content for most of its sites but it would not be able to show content from the UK or some European countries. So if were signed in from USA and they were set to the UK or anything other than USA and went to check out all their content, if I were to sign on from the VPN, it would only be able to access what they have to offer in the US. It would be very annoying since my company will need to pay a monthly fee to all the content providers just so we can watch a little bit of everything they are serving.

The problem with setting your VPN to another country would mean even if we are watching all the English content they are offering and it can only be displayed in that countries, they do have content available from somewhere else we might be signing in from (ex. US) but I don't know if the provider is willing to let you go to another country to get that content. It is possible they may lock you in so there is nothing that is available from other countries except the limited options offered.

As far as I know, there are only two things that allow the user to go anywhere within the IPTV systems. Both being the servers that host these services and their ability to route traffic around and through the globe. There is nothing in the VPN's themselves that can let the user go anywhere.

All this is why the VPN companies have a huge amount of security around their VPN servers, and if they are not running their own, they have good reason.
