How to run Hide Me on Linux?

I want to start a thread about the costs of hiding and/or relocating an entire family.

I've been thinking about this for the last few days and it's finally got me thinking about it. I've heard that the cost of moving an entire family can be astronomical, but I don't know how much or if it's true. The reason I'm asking is that I'm looking into the possibility of hiding my children, myself, and one other child, somewhere else. I've been told it would cost a small fortune to hide a family like mine, but I don't know how much or where to find out. Any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how much the cost would be to hide a family like yours. However, if you are talking about moving them out of state or even out of the country, that might cost a small fortune, and if you were looking to hide them for a long time, you might have to do it yourself. If you were to pay someone to hide your family, you might end up paying the same price as if you were to move them, but they would not be living there. You might better off just moving them to another location.

Is Hide Me no longer free?

I was going to say I think we all like free (ie, you do not have to pay) software. But, after reading some of the comments, I'm not sure. ? I just downloaded it and, for me, I'm a happy camper!

Re: Hide Me no longer free? My experience is that it is still free. So far, my only complaint is that in the Mac version, if you hit Cancel, it doesn't exit the program. I don't know if this is the case for others. I did find it a little irritating, but it's very easy to turn off.

The current version of Hide Me is free to download and use, even though the previous versions were available for free. It's a bit strange, but the current version is listed as being freeware. I'm also a happy camper.

I've been using hide me for years, and I LOVE IT! I just upgraded to the new version, and I love it, too. However, I downloaded the new version on the off chance that it might be different from the old one that I've been using since it was first released.

I found the new version to be a bit slower, so I downloaded the free version and found that it was quite comparable. I did think about upgrading to the paid version, and I actually wrote to the developer asking if there was a new version out, and he said that the next version would be free. So, I'll wait and see what happens, but I doubt it will be any different than the free version.

The developer has changed their business model, and Hide Me has now been re-released as a free app. He's not going to take money for it.
