Is there an app that tracks your phone usage?

I've seen those kinds of tracking apps that people use to see how long they're on their phone, the types of apps they're using, and track their location.

I remember the first time I got a cell phone with a built-in tracker. I was amazed that it was able to identify how long I'd been on a call. I've always been a phone person, not a cell phone person. The tracking app I used didn't help me. I had to make sure to turn off the automatic reminder to use the app, which is annoying.

Then about 10 years later, my phone got water damage from a spill. It had no more than a few minor scratches and some fading, but the screen was badly stained.

I thought it was going to be difficult to get a replacement screen. I was lucky to have bought it so recently! I could still get an exact replacement. But, because the screen was so badly damaged, it would have to be sent off to be refurbished for me. They did take the time to check if it had water damage as well as any cosmetic flaws before they decided it needed to be fixed.

My phone is only 6 years old, but even today, I would find it extremely hard to leave this phone behind, even if it has been damaged and was unusable. As a college student, I would always carry two or three phones in my bag at any given time. Today, it would be unthinkable to do that. You're carrying more electronics, including a tablet or laptop computer, which leaves you with no room for anything else.

My parents have a phone that's only for phone calls.

When I call them, it shows me a list of people who called them. If I call someone else, it shows me the people who have called them. It's fine and all, but it's really annoying when I call my parents and then get told they called someone else and I missed it because it just showed them on the phone screen.

If you use the Call Filter app, it will stop tracking calls. If you don't use the Call Filter app, the phone will be constantly running in the background trying to monitor your calls.

You can't tell it to only show certain people and not others. That would require the phone to actively track the calls and the phone doesn't know what to do with that data if it's only allowed to be monitored by certain apps.

You can install the Call Filter app in the Play Store (or from the search bar on the Play Store itself). I have the latest version of Call Filter app installed, and it still shows the people my parents called as "unknown" if they are calling from another country.

I have the app "Phone Usage" by MobiSystems, Inc.

The app lets you choose which apps to track and when to track them. I was looking for a way to get that information in excel. However, after searching the web, I'm not seeing any answers. Does anyone know if this app would work in excel? Thank you for your time.

You can get information about app usage by looking at the event log for a specific user. You need to have access to this log so you can see it, or at least create a user that does have access to this log.

If you do not have access to these logs (can't make sense of the logs as they are from a company I have never heard of before) then there is no software that will give you this information.
