How do I install ParseHub?

The ParseHub dashboard is a web interface that will allow you to manage your Parse apps from your computer. You can download it from this link.

If you already have an account on Parse, then you already have the dashboard installed. When you login to the dashboard, you'll see the Parse apps you created appear in the left navigation. If you have no Parse apps, then you'll see a list of apps that you've installed on your Parse server.

You can also add apps you've created to your dashboard. Just click on the Add App button and select the Parse app you'd like to add.

ParseHub is easy to use and will guide you through the process of installing Parse apps. I have a problem with my Parse app, what should I do? If you have an app that's not working, you can submit a help request from the app. You can also view all the requests from your app from the dashboard.

If you are experiencing issues, please use the Help Forum to ask questions about the Parse API or the ParseHub dashboard. I'm getting an error message when I try to create a new app. What should I do? If you are receiving an error message when you try to create a new app, it could be that the name of your app is too long. The maximum length of a name for a new app is 50 characters.

You can see the maximum length for a name by clicking on the name of the app you want to create and then clicking on the Settings tab. If you are trying to create an app with a name that is longer than the maximum length, then you'll receive an error message when you click the Create button. To change the name of the app, you can click on the app name and then click on the Edit button. I'm getting an error when I try to add a new user. If you are receiving an error message when you try to add a new user, it could be that you are using a special character in your username or password.

How do you use ParseHub for scraping?

I have a website that requires log in, and then it requires the user to enter in their zip code, and it returns the restaurant information. I was wondering if you could use ParseHub to scrape that website. Can you use it to scrape any website?

Running the site in development phase and the apps will be going live within the next week. I will be using ParseHub for scraping different websites. I'm sure the possibilities are endless.

I have a site that requires log in, then a form that asks for the restaurant's zip code, then it returns the restaurant information. I can't answer definitively, but it sounds like you'd better off using the Parse Perl module for this. And it sounds like you are scraping a website. Wouldn't it be easier to just build a proxy/spider that scrapes the website and returns the data to you?

I don't want to spam peoples inbox's with emails about the same thing, so I understand that. Great response, thanks. I do a lot of research on this topic and it's always been a dilemma, whether to build the proxy, or use ParseHub, or another service, or to use a combination of these.

Awesome to have your input on this. Nope, the restaurant's website is not publicly accessible unless you are in. You need a login. I want to get the information from the website. I don't want to have to wait for someone else to build a proxy. I want to automate the process.

Is web scraping Google allowed?

If so, is it legal to scrape a website? Does anyone know if it is legal to scrape content from Google. I'm trying to make a web crawler to save time and I wondered if it's legal or not. If not, can you recommend any site I can save pages from?
First, a caveat: Legally, you're not doing anything that's illegal in the US. That's because search engines are US companies and the courts in the US have ruled that corporations are people and therefore have the same rights and freedoms as people.

You're also not doing anything that's illegal in the UK. Search engines and other sites with ad-revenue are required to be licensed to operate in the UK and are also subject to the British Data Protection Act, which would make it illegal to download their content without their express permission. However, they are not required to give you their permission to save the content.

What you're doing is entirely legal. There are thousands of sites that offer to "save your pages" for you. Try searching for "save pages" on your favorite search engine.

If it's just a matter of saving time and you're not scraping information you're not violating any law. If the information you're scrapping is copyrighted you're in violation. If you're getting the pages in another country that might be illegal, but it depends on whether or not the laws in the country you are in enforce the law in the country you are getting the content from.

As for legality, I know at my University the professors and I are prohibited from doing anything with web crawlers without prior permission of the webmaster. But what I would be looking at is if they have posted any signs of legal restrictions on your content.

If you have a question about the legality of something in your country, then ask that question here. There's no reason to go look it up in a country where it's illegal, and potentially get banned for breaking that law.
