Is Moving On Hulu good?
There is a new company called Moving On Hulu.
It's a subsidiary of NBC Universal and its purpose is to allow NBC Universal to stream content on Hulu for their users. The reason I say "stream" is because it's not a download, but instead, the content is streaming. The idea is that you can watch the content when it is being streamed. However, if you stop watching a show, you can still watch it later. This way, you don't have to wait until you get home to watch a show.
To help promote the new company, NBC Universal is giving away a Samsung Note 8 to one lucky person who will use the service for 30 days. I think this is a good thing. It's just another way to get more people to watch TV shows on Hulu. If they can get more people to use the service, they could make a lot of money. I'm not saying they should be able to charge for Hulu, but I do think it's good for them to make the content available so people can watch it at their own pace.
Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't want to pay for Hulu? You can get free Hulu (or at least, you could, prior to the new service). If you want to pay for it, why would you want to use a service that can give you free content? I'm in favor of anything that gives people access to content for free. If people are paying for it, they can pay a little more and get better quality.
Is Moving On streaming on Hulu?
As I've mentioned before, my wife and I have decided to move on from Hulu.
There are a lot of reasons for our decision, and I'll try and write about that in the coming weeks, but suffice it to say that it is time to move on from Hulu.
So, it will not be moving on to Netflix or to iTunes or anything like that. It will just be moving on and doing our own thing for now. This change is going to happen in a few weeks, and there will be more on that when the time comes.
What does this mean for your viewing? Well, you'll still be able to stream the shows, just not on Hulu. (The streaming video part is where we're moving, everything else will stay the same.)
So, if you want to continue watching the show on your Roku or your Apple TV or on whatever else you have, just make sure to switch your stream to the new name. And if you're the kind of person that uses more than one streaming service, you might have to change over to yet another stream to get the show to play. If you have all your streaming services on your devices, you probably can't move them, so you'll have to choose one. I'm betting it will be Netflix or Hulu, depending on what you want to watch.
You can check out our site right here. We also have our Roku channel. Just search for moving on and the channel should pop up.
Now, just because we're not going to be streaming on Hulu anymore doesn't mean we're not still going to be watching. That's not going anywhere.
We're still going to be watching Star Trek on Netflix and Doctor Who on iTunes or somewhere else. We may even rewatch some of the movies.
In fact, we're going to be watching Star Trek: The Next Generation starting in a few weeks. My wife's favorite show, by far, and we have a TNG marathon planned for March. (Yes, I did say March, and yes, you'll get a sneak peek at that show during a special episode coming up next week.
