What are the endpoints of Tyk API?

What is the Tyk API gateway?

Imagine an app where someone can create a request, a customer can add it to their Tyk cart and someone (the retailer) will deliver the goods straight to the customer through Tyk. But it doesn't stop there, as the retailer might choose to send them a text message to their phone to let them know when they've ordered. With the Tyk API gateway service we can now allow the customer to control that process for themselves and even pay the postage costs for the retailer.

Who is your main competitor and why? We're going up against big dogs that sell you the service and also work with you. Think the likes of Amazon, Zendesk, Hubspot, Microsoft Office 365, etc. We're aiming at smaller businesses that don't have the budgets and resources of these giants, yet feel in need of professional support and IT services.

Who and what are you guys mainly providing? You're the main customer of the company and therefore receive the best service and pricing. We operate like an IT consultant, but with a slightly different approach; our engineers work with you to solve the technical challenges, not just your website or marketing campaigns. This helps the client understand exactly what they are in need of, so that the engineers can help them without having to re-write code every time they come to ask questions. As we develop relationships with clients, we often look at how we can help them by giving access to software to make their business more efficient.

The API gateway solution, what is that really? It's pretty much the middle ground. We work with clients and try and help them overcome their technology challenges, without getting too invested. It's pretty much an API to IT (that's what the Tyk stands for). We're happy to recommend the best tools for the job, regardless of the underlying technology. Sometimes (if your budget allows), it might better to hire a team, as opposed to trying to keep up to speed when your time is so scarce. However, we want to ensure you're getting maximum value from your technology, rather than paying for things that the technology can do for you.

What makes Tyk different? We've heard time and time again: 'Oh, I already have X and Y software on-site.

What are the endpoints of Tyk API?

The Tyk API exposes many of the features of Tyk's software.

The resource can contain any information needed to display a web resource, such as the content type, content language, and content title. Tyk supports GET, POST, PUT, and DELETE for REST actions./docs/actions)

## Endpoints. The endpoints return information about the user's current Tyk project. Each endpoint returns a list of fields that correspond to the fields that appear in the Tyk GUI. You can use the `?fields` parameter to limit the fields returned to the fields you are interested in. You may need to specify this query parameter if your application expects certain fields that the user can add to a request to be included in the results.

The order of the returned fields matches the order of the fields in the header. Here is a breakdown of the fields returned in the request for each endpoint.

What is Tyk API lifecycle?

The Tyk API lifecycle is a process that you can use to manage and control Tyk.

This process can be used to create, delete or update Tyk instances, and to view the state of each instance.

Note: To learn more about Tyk, see the Tyk product overview. How does Tyk API lifecycle work? The API lifecycle involves three steps: Create an instance Create an action Add an action to an instance Update an instance. The following sections explain these steps in detail. Step 1: Create an instance. To create an instance, follow these steps: Log in to the Tyk Management Console. Choose Admin > API Lifecycle. Click Create API Lifecycle. Enter a name for the lifecycle. Select an API lifecycle platform. A new API lifecycle instance is created. To list all instances, choose Admin > API Lifecycle. Select a lifecycle instance. In the API instance list, click the instance name to display the API instance.

To create an API instance with a default lifecycle platform, you can use the following command: # tyk api create --name "My API Instance". Note: The default lifecycle platform can only be used for API instances. If you want to specify a lifecycle platform, you can do so by adding the --lifecycle-platform option, followed by the platform name. For example, you can create an instance with the default lifecycle platform, and then update the instance's lifecycle platform to MyAPIInstanceWithCredentialsPlatform. The following command shows an example:

# tyk api create --name "My API Instance" --lifecycle-platform MyAPIInstanceWithCredentialsPlatform. Step 2: Create an action. To create an action, follow these steps: Log in to the Tyk Management Console. Select an action. An action is created.

Note: If the action was created for a default lifecycle platform, the action is created with the default lifecycle platform.
