Does Kali Linux have proxy?
You can use Squid as a proxy.
You just need to make sure that it has the network mode turned off (so only requests to localhost work) and the port of 80 is open for incoming connections. You can then just point your browser at squid.local and it will work fine.
If you don't want to do this manually, you can just install the package "squid3-deb" in your repository, and have the settings setup automatically. If you want more control, you can also use iptables to redirect the traffic and make it look like it is coming from localhost.

How to configure proxy server in Linux?
We all know that the proxy server is a gateway between the Internet and local network.
We use this technology for various purposes like browsing the websites, downloading the files, running the apps etc. To configure the proxy server is not easy for a newbie and the reason is they are not familiar with Linux environment. So, let's have a look on .
Proxy Server in Linux. In order to setup the proxy server in Linux, we need to install the Squid web proxy software on the Linux server. So, before installing the Squid proxy server, we need to configure the proxy settings in the Linux. Let's have a look on the following configuration options:
Setting up the proxy in Linux. To make the proxy server work on the Linux, we need to do the following tasks: Step 1: Configure the proxy settings. Proxy settings are very simple to configure. We need to go to the system configuration and open the proxy settings.

How do I find my proxy settings in Linux?
I'm working through some of the exercises at The Pragmatic Programmers where there's an interview with the CTO for PluralSight, a company that publishes a bunch of online courses and books.
You get to watch them do an interview, then interview with them as well, then test your knowledge in a quiz. They have a ton of content.
The section where I get quizzed is the most useful for me. Since my Linux experience is very limited, I thought it would be good to use PluralSight's Linux-specific course as a basis to learn all the commands I need to know (and how they're used).
I can go through and learn everything just fine until we get to proxy settings. Since they use Windows servers it does not seem to be possible to use their toolbox on Ubuntu by any means. So. I'm getting frustrated because the Linux section of the course has no clue what they talk about! The only way to learn about how to get into /etc/sysctl.conf is to look through the Windows proxy settings and make it to work with their toolbox. Is there an Ubuntu command for this that I can google, or any other method to accomplish this?
My questions (since everyone seems to have different ideas): Is it possible to have an Ubuntu desktop connect to a Windows server through the use of software, as if it was a Windows computer? Does Ubuntu have the ability to proxy settings or even use proxy settings of some sort, even though some people say it has them but won't allow them to change them? Since these settings are in the /etc directory, can I just use something like sudo cat /etc/sysctl.conf to open the file with the proxy settings inside? Can I use a command, or is there some sort of GUI program I can install and use? UPDATE: I also tried the solution given by Joonas Pihlajaniemi in the comments below, the problem is that it didn't work. I just installed this program: I made sure that I added the command line option to use the proxy even while using a web browser. I restarted and went into Google chrome.
This is what happened when I typed jwsoft.
