How do you get extensions if they are blocked?
I have a lot of extensions blocked and would like to get them.
I can't seem to get any help from the people who made them. I don't want to have to make my own. Any suggestions?
You could try installing a VPN, then get on the other side of it. Not as good as what you're asking for, but it'll work. Alternatively, I'm sure there are proxy services that will let you surf the web as if your computer was in another country.
How do I unblock a blocked extension in Chrome?
This happens to me a lot. It's annoying and I have no idea how to fix it. My extensions are sometimes blocked by Google Chrome as a result of some weird suspicious behavior that I don't know what it means. In this guide, I'll explain what you can do when you get a blocked extension.
I get notified about my extensions being blocked in Chrome after I search for the name of the extension and click on the block button on the search results page. I get an email about this and I don't know why. I'm really puzzled because it happens all the time, it doesn't seem to be related to any of the searches I do or anything else on the site. It's really annoying and makes me not want to use the extension.
Here's the email I receive: I can usually figure out how to unblock the extension in a few minutes. But what if I can't? What if I want to unblock the extension? How do I do that? Let's see how to unblock an extension. Getting rid of the blocked extension. If you're blocked, you'll get a message like this: Right now, the extension is being blocked because someone is reporting suspicious behavior on your extension. If this isn't you, you can go to chrome://extensions/ to manually check your extensions' permissions.
In the example below, the permissions for my extension appear to be fine. You can see that I have the ability to edit and remove my extension from Chrome, which means I have complete control over it. You also have the ability to block extensions and there is an option to report a suspicious extension.
However, if I try to report a suspicious extension, I get this error message: I'm not sure what this means or how to report a suspicious extension. If you can't report the extension, you'll get a message that the extension has been removed.
I can't figure out how to unblock the extension. There's a button to do so but it's greyed out.
