PIA VPN is a free service which promises to provide fast and easy access to US & UK websites to its subscribers. However, this website says that they don't support iPhone and their software only works on Windows OS. Should I consider buying VPN for iPhone? Also what else should I consider when choosing iPhone VPN? The reason for asking this question is, my iPhone is locked and will be sent to a service center (if it fails) tomorrow.

You mean like any free online VPN, you'd connect your computer via the free VPN connection and then open your browser and try to go to sites such as Yahoo and Google, which are not blocked in your region? Yes, PIA VPN supports Android, Blackberry, iPad/iPhone and Windows too, as you already said. They have some great features like No Logging and No Root devices. PIA VPN also gives you the option to connect to OpenVPN which is much better than the standard PPTP which you are probably using, but I won't mention more about PIA VPN's features because of the sheer amount of information provided on the PIA VPN website.

The whole point of this exercise is to help people buy the right VPN software and avoid getting suckered by scammy websites.

First, you need to download and install the PIA VPN app on your iOS device.

PIA VPN works on all iPhone, iPod touch and iPad devices running iOS 7.0 or later. A menu will appear that lets you create a new profile for free or to connect to a paid plan.

The free version of PIA VPN has only 2 functions: it allows you to connect to the paid plans or it lets you add a new VPN profile. So if you want to use this version, go to the Add VPN section. Here you can choose between the PIA VPN free plan and the premium plan.
