Where are my saved passwords kept?
The answer to this question will depend on how you have setup the website that saves your passwords.
You can find out where this is by going to the settings area of the website you wish to know about and choosing 'Password and security'. From here, click on the 'Save Passwords' button.
You may be able to set it up for a particular site or website. If you can't find a place to set it up, then we suggest using a service such as LastPass which can store all your usernames and passwords for you.
What if I need to reset my password? If you can't remember your password, click on the 'Forgot your password' link. You will be presented with a message that reads Your password has been reset. If you are logged in to your email account, you should receive an email which confirms that you have received the email. It may not be immediately apparent why your password has been reset, however, you can now use the reset link to change your password.
How do I reset my password? If you receive an email from us requesting that you reset your password, please follow the instructions contained in that email and don't worry if you get another email stating that the link has expired. Your new password will automatically be sent to the email address you used to sign up. Please make sure that you sign out of your account and then go back into the login page, entering your email address and the password you created at the time you signed up.
What if I can't access my password? When I am trying to log in, it takes ages to log me in. What is going on? We are often very busy and sometimes have systems that aren't working as efficiently as they should.
How do I find the list of passwords on my phone?
Your phone is only as good as its battery, so never risk a weak network connection by leaving your device out in the rain.
A new app called Password Backup just saved my phone. Install it to find out why.
How do I use it? Password Backup saves all of your passwords in one secure place and updates them daily. You can also see any changes instantly via Password Backup's push notifications.
If you don't have a clue what the password is, just click the Lock icon on the notification and enter the Master password on your iPhone. Your new password will be remembered across your devices and won't need to be remembered again.
Is it safe? The truth is, there's no such thing as 100% safe, so what we do is make sure that it is at least as safe as not saving your passwords at all. There are three reasons for this: It encrypts the passwords; updates itself to protect against security attacks or malware; and syncs its data automatically to your other iOS devices to save space. It also works if your Android phone isn't signed into your iCloud account.
If someone does try to get into your phone, it will just wipe themselves out - without you needing to delete anything. I deleted a few old passwords before I used Password Backup, and now it keeps trying to update them for me. Is that normal? No, Password Backup actually deletes those old passwords after 10 days. Any attempts after that mean that it remembers a new and stronger password. But you won't lose any data - Password Backup is totally safe!
