How do I fix VPN error on Hulu?

Why is Hulu not available in my region not using a VPN?

After the Hulu outage earlier in the week, I have been searching for answer to this question. From what I can tell there are only a few ways to get Hulu on your computer and TV. The first is to use a VPN.

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network. It works by connecting to another location and creating a tunnel through that location. This means that you can appear to be accessing a different website than the real one. This can be really handy if you are trying to hide your internet usage. For example, if you live in a country with very strict internet usage restrictions, you can access US based websites with a VPN.

You can get Hulu with a VPN. I'm not going to cover the details here, but some of the best VPN providers are IPVanish, NordVPN and ExpressVPN. They all work on the same principle.

One big problem with using a VPN is that you lose your connection to your local network. This means that if you are on a LAN (local area network), your router may not be able to communicate with your computer.

This is bad because then your computer cannot access the internet. If you are using your computer as a media centre, like the Xbox or PS3, then it will not be able to access Hulu. To fix this problem you need to create a local network tunnel.

Here's how: What you need: A router. A PC. Your router IP address. Step 1: Find your router's IP address. You can find this by logging into your router's admin page and looking in the address bar. You should see the router IP address, which looks something like 192.168. This is what we will use.

Step 2: To create a local network tunnel, you need to type 'router' into the URL bar of a web browser on your computer. This will launch your router's admin page. The address should look like 192.

Step 3: Find the LAN tab on the admin page. On the left hand side, you should see the name of the network. Mine is called 'Local Network'. Select it, then click on 'Create Local Network'.

Why does Hulu keep saying I'm using a VPN?

I've just recently subscribed to Hulu and use it quite a bit.

I would just like to ask why Hulu keeps on saying that I'm using a VPN and it's causing my speeds to be very slow. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this?
Hulu does not use a VPN. The issue is with the content delivery network (CDN) you are using. We are constantly monitoring the DNS lookup and CDN performance, so it might be due to a server change.

Oh ok, but this doesn't mean Hulu is the one who has the problem, but more likely the CDN. I have been using Hulu for several years now and I know I have had issues with their content delivery network in the past. I've also seen people have issues when they try to stream hulu in the USA but live in Europe or other parts of the world.

I'd check their support page, there might be a solution there for your specific problem. You might also try switching to the Hulu app on your tv instead of through the browser. The issue is with the content delivery network (CDN) you are using.

Ok thanks, I'll check that out, but I just don't understand why Hulu keeps saying I'm using a VPN when I'm not. I'm pretty sure I'm not using one.
