Does web scraping pay well?

Is web scraping a lucrative career?

I don't mean by the 'get rich quick' type, but with decent pay. Are there ways to make sure you get decent pay when working in this type of work? I don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I'm doing it in my spare time. This means that I have no bills (except for my internet and cell bill). I can work all day and not have a single cent paid by my employer. This means that I can work for free sometimes.

Is it viable to make a living off web scraping? I have never thought about doing this, but I hear of people who do. I'm not sure if I'll be able to do it myself or not, but I want to at least learn about it.

How to scrape web pages? I know it's not hard, but I'm still looking at the tutorials and forums to see what to actually do. I do web scraping in my spare time for a website that I like. It takes roughly an hour a day and I get ~100 visitors a day. It's not very high volume, but not low either. I could easily scrape 10 times more, but I only scrape when I feel like it. The profit that I make isn't very significant, because it is something that I would do anyway. But I do earn money by doing it, so there is a pay off.

You get paid when someone buys something from your website, so if you can find a high quality site with a good conversion rate, you can make a decent amount of money a month. I don't do much research on this. All I know is that my conversion rate is high because I spend a lot of time learning and practicing to get better at it.

But what if you're looking to get a full time job? For example, suppose that you work at Walmart. You're given the task of getting their online orders. You can only work a few hours per week. How are you going to earn the rest of the money needed to cover your bills? Do you quit your job? That probably won't work out for me because I live with my parents.

Is web scraping a feasible career choice?

How much can a web scraper make?

I want to know ?

And is it possible for a complete newbie to get such an idea. I would need these basic features in my scraper: Get the title from the web page. Get the url. Get the time of the page load. Get all the content between a certain time and date. Extract and store html code into a file. And I would like to do that for at least five pages per day. The most straightforward way is to use what you already have and add some extra time-consuming steps. Something like: class MyWebScraper(scrapy.Spider): def startrequests(self): """. You will need to write the logic to crawl. all the URLs you are interested in. and then use them as your starting point to. follow them in the loop below. yield scrapy.Request(url=') def parse(self, response): print 'Load time for this request was'. print response.headers.get('x-time').
