Where are macro security settings in Office 2007?

How do I enable developer options in Excel 2007?

I have a problem with excel 2023.

I have my own user-interface for excel that uses a lot of custom buttons and menus. Unfortunately, the users don't have these items available when they open excel, but only after selecting developer mode. I tried to give them access to developer mode, but it doesn't seem to be possible to do this.

The first link I found for this was: but it isn't working. Anyone who has any experience with this problem and knows a solution? Thanks.

Ok, I solved this problem. It seems that the user must have developer mode enabled in his profile. In order to do this, go to control panel and search for "profile". If you don't have the "Developer mode" option there, just add it and click ok. After that you should have developer options at your disposal.

How do I enable macros?

The first step is to make sure macros are enabled for this template, then it's really simple.

To add it to the head and foot of a page, simply add a blank line after the end of your current row and it will appear below the current line.

How do I change the color of a macro? To change the color of a macro click on the "Change color" drop down menu in the Macro editing area. There are two categories to choose from: Title Text (default) & Text Body. Note: For "title text" choose the color of the title text on your page by clicking on the little icon next to the color code.

How do I change the font used in my macro? A simple dropdown menu will allow you to select any available font in the font list on your page. What font is being used? Macros in all pages are embedded in InDesign from an external text file called a ".INDD" file. That file will always tell you which fonts are being used. To see them open up the ".INDD" file with a text editor, and in the top right corner of the editor you should see a folder that contains your fonts. Click that folder and you can edit the font listed inside. If you don't see the top right drop down menu there is no file created yet in the folder you selected, select your folder, then wait a few seconds. The font settings should now be shown.

Why am I missing fonts?

Where are macro security settings in Office 2007?

I can't seem to find a way to change the macro security settings in Excel 2023.

They are no where to be found. I'm used to Word and Office 2023 where they could easily be found in Tools -> Options -> General -> Macro Settings. Is this an option I missed in the new version?

If you look on the bottom left of each form you will see a little 'gear' symbol with a checkmark. That is all you need to change if you wish to disable macros. If you want to enable, I am sure there is a button somewhere you can click on.

If you have any issues please create a Microsoft Community (or a Windows Server 2023 Forum), it helps to have the community come up with answers. I'm not sure how to get to "Tools" in Excel. Are you referring to the Ribbon? It's the main menu at the top of the screen. You can hide it and get to it through View and Show all Panes. I hope that helps.

No, I haven't made any changes. The options were changed from a menu in older versions of the software to a ribbon in Office 2023. In my screen shots it appears that I can change macros in all windows EXCEPT for Excel workbooks. I want to disable macros for that workbook alone. Thanks for any help.

Click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office > Excela > Open 'Workbook'. After you're done opening the file you'll see an 'Edit' icon on the bottom right of the window and two arrow buttons. Click the second one. Now the bottom part of the screen will have icons for 'View', 'Design' and 'Window'. On the far left side you should see an image of a box with an upward pointing arrow in it. Click that arrow. The bottom right area should have 'Macros' in the bottom right corner and a down pointing arrow. You now have a submenu of 'Macros' which can be used to either enable or disable macros on that specific workbook. Hope this helps.
