At 9 years old I was already in the movie theater and at 10 watching PG-13 movies with my dad. I remember sitting on the floor, a giant candy bar in front of me and a bag of popcorn. The movie started and it had characters talking and then one of the main characters yelled at another character. He then walked away and I could hear the other character say "I love you" as the girl walked behind him and put her head on his shoulder and he said "I love you too" and they walked down the street together. My dad leaned over and told me to "watch closely". It was the first time I saw my first movie kiss. I remember thinking "They should have kissed sooner!"

As the movie went on and as it progressed into more serious movies. My dad would sit in the middle row next to me so he could explain what was going on to me when I asked questions.

There were other times that he wouldn't let me watch movies with him because there was content and language that would be inappropriate for a young child. It was good to know that I could watch movies on my own. My Dad still has to watch me movies today, but we do it the same way we did back then. I have to sit on the floor and eat and drink while he watches me. When the movie is done I go get a movie to watch with him. I never let him come with me unless he asks.

He never lets me watch a R rated movie alone unless I ask him to watch it with me. I think I can handle it now! This is one of my favorite movies, It was my dad's fave movie! I love how there's a scene where you can see the little girl kissing her boyfriend, which is my favorite part. It's so cute and sweet! He said it was a great kiss and that they should have kissed sooner.

My parents took me to the movies when I was in preschool. I am 10 now and I have watched some PG-13 movies by myself. It is not scary or sad. But, if I see a scary movie I always cry! I think I have seen too many of them at this point!

My parents let me watch PG movies. That was the only thing that was wrong. They put too much sugar in it.
