How do I make my PIA VPN stronger?

Is PIA still a good VPN?

The PIA website still offers a one-month free trial for new users.

The good old (or not so good) days when the company offered free VPNs for three months. I've tried several paid and free versions from the PIA network and I'm here to tell you that it has some very useful features, but is it still the best VPN for Windows 10? Let's see.

What is PIA? PIA is an acronym that stands for Pirate Bay Information Access, and you can read all about it on their website. It's an ad-supported VPN. That's bad enough, but the worse part is that it's a third-party service and that means that the ads that PIA displays on their website are served by Google, not by the company, which doesn't really matter much, but I still can't stand the thought of Google seeing my browsing habits. I mean, if Google's mission is to make people feel safe online, why are they trying to keep people vulnerable to malware and privacy attacks and track them in the process? If we live in an era of privacy, why is it OK to put ads on a third-party website? What kind of a business model is that? Anyway, we're getting off topic.

The good news is that if you register for the PIA service, you get access to all the premium features for free for 30 days. How Does PIA Work? With PIA you can use your regular internet browser to navigate the web and watch videos and download content, but it adds some pretty interesting features on top of that. All these features are in the paid plan. The basic, free plan doesn't give you any additional features, but you can upgrade to the premium plan for a fixed price every month or month-to-month (there's a 30-day free trial). PIA works the same as any other VPN service, you install the software on your device, you connect to the Internet through it, and you can use it to surf the web and also to bypass geo-restrictions (for example, Netflix is available for free in US but not in the UK).

Here's a list of the features that PIA gives you.

How can I speed up my PIA VPN?

If you've been reading my blog posts recently, you know I have a problem with slow VPN.

I've had it for some time now and the problems aren't going away. A few years ago, I had problems with slow VPN connections. When I switched to vpnbook.com, the speed was awesome and now it's even slower than the horrible PIA VPN.

I tried everything. I went to the help page and to the support forum and I still got the same problems. I even went to the top VPN sites and I couldn't even get a faster connection from them.

This is frustrating. First, I want to make it clear that I don't know if it's because I'm using my phone or I'm using my tablet, but it's super annoying. I tried the free PIA VPN which was slow. I tried the free Tunnelbear which was slow. I tried the free NordVPN which was slow.

And of course I tried the paid versions of both PIA VPN and Nord VPN, but no matter what I did, the speed wasn't any better. Here's an image of how slow my connection is when I'm using the PIA VPN: And here's an image of how slow my connection is when I'm using the TunnelBear: And here's an image of how slow my connection is when I'm using the Nord VPN: So my conclusion? I need to speed up my PIA VPN. PIA VPN Speed Tips. I found a few tricks that helped me a little bit. Change DNS servers. I've been using Google DNS, but it's not that fast for me. I also tried OpenDNS and my speed increased a little bit. So if you don't like Google DNS, try OpenDNS or some other DNS.

Use open source apps. I switched from PIA VPN to OpenVPN, TunnelBear, and Nord VPN. I wanted to test these free VPNs and see how they performed. I really liked TunnelBear. But after a few hours, I stopped using it because it was slow. I like OpenVPN and NordVPN the best.
