I've been thinking about the best way to secure my internet connection. I have a few concerns that make me hesitant to sign up for a paid VPN service.

1) I'm concerned about privacy. I want to keep my browsing habits private, so I don't want to pay someone else to snoop around on my internet traffic. 2) I'm concerned about the free tier. I'm not sure I can trust a free VPN. Maybe it will be easy to set up and work great for my use case, but could also end up being a complete ripoff or a total spam botnet.

3) I'm concerned about security. There's an old saying If you want something done right, do it yourself. I believe this is true for web security, too. I don't want to use an untrustworthy third-party service.
