How to get email address from Facebook group members?

I am currently developing a Facebook app and would like to get the email addresses from the Facebook group members.

I searched on Google but nothing could be found. Has anyone face the same problem? How to get the email address of facebook group members.

There are a few ways of doing this. The easiest is via the Graph API - eg, This allows you to list the email addresses of those that have a relationship to the group in question. Alternatively, if you have access to that group's Data Source - eg. (you can use /members/ as well to fetch the data, which will return an array with all the members' email addresses) - you'll need to then parse that data for any "email" field (this isn't ideal, because there's no guarantee the user has supplied a real email address), as there's no other way to uniquely identify the user. Finally, you can use Facebook Connect and the /me/accounts endpoint: This will provide you with each individual user's primary email address, however, Facebook doesn't allow this information to be returned unless the user provides his or her access token at the time of the request. Hence, it is not guaranteed to be the email address you wish for.

If you do decide to go this route, you will need to pass an access token to your API request as per the documentation.

Can you extract emails from Facebook groups?

How to extract data from Facebook groups?

The purpose of this article is to provide an overview of the steps I have used in order to extract information from Facebook groups.

It's a little about my methods and a little about the data I have accessed so far. We are going to start with building your own data collection tool.

There are various tools that can be used to scan Facebook groups, but you will need to build one yourself. When you want to access the group, create a new list and follow the steps to find the group. The page will only be accessible if your list allows you to access. For this reason, some groups are not viewable. Here's a quick summary of what you need to do:

Go to Groups Directory on the upper right corner. Click Create List. In the Create List window, add any term and click Create List. Click Add Members. Choose Group or Page. Click Save List. Now that you have your list, you can create your collection tool. You have three options for how you want to collect your data: either by searching for it, browsing for it, or extracting it. Let's dive into each of these methods.

Searching for Data. This is where you can find posts about a specific issue. This means that there is no need to scan groups to get information about your topic. In fact, by finding your information through Facebook, you can potentially save time. If you were to scan a group, you could miss posts that pertain to the same issue, and you will need to check the post to find out what it was about. You can also add it to your data collection tool if you don't find anything useful.

This option has its advantages and disadvantages. A potential disadvantage is that people will post the same thing if they are talking about the same topic. Also, because you can't see the conversations, you won't know who else is in that group. Another way you can find the same thing is to use the search bar on Facebook. When you type in a term, Facebook will show you results with that term.

Browsing for Data. If you want to browse for the groups based on the topic that you are interested in, you can use the categories listed under Community or Pages. On the right side of your browser, you will see the tabs.

Can you scrape Facebook emails?

I'm wondering if it's possible to scrape the emails people have on Facebook.

For example, when you go to your profile and you choose to send yourself an email from your address book, I'd like to be able to capture that and send myself a text message.

The only way to do that is to change the default method of sending emails from Facebook to SMS so that it sends the message as a text message. There is no other way to send Facebook-emailed messages from your phone.

I'm having the same issue, in that the email address is listed as @facebook.com and I would like to have it use the SMS/text for my cell phone as well. Any ideas?

You need to set your default phone setting to something other than your cell phone. This can be done by visiting Facebook's Contact Us page and selecting Manage your settings. You will see the default setting for emails there.

It seems there is no way to change the email format through facebook itself. Is there anyway we can scrape the emails and turn it into an sms? If not, any other way to scrap all the emails? I have this working on my iPhone, but on my Android it does not work.

I need to be able to text messages for both iPhone and Android. How do I make sure the text message goes to the phone it is supposed to? Is there a way for me to scrape both devices? The text message will go to whichever phone is set as the default in your Facebook account (ie the phone that receives your text messages).
