A website's terms of service is simply a contract between you and the website that says you agreed to certain conditions and will abide by them. The "violation" is when you break those rules. If you have no reason to believe that any of the conditions are being broken, then there's nothing illegal about what you are doing.

In the United States, one condition of the TOS is: You will use our Website and Content only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the intellectual property rights of others. This is covered in the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA). This is analog of common-law tort laws that cover fraud.
