What is the IP address of Cisco OpenDNS server?

What is the IP address of Cisco OpenDNS server?

Does anybody know the IP address of the Cisco OpenDNS server?

I'm trying to set the IP to our intranet network and it is redirecting all the requests to OpenDNS, because I can access web pages only. Thanks in advance. It appears that the OpenDNS server itself has their own web site, in which they offer a "Get a Free DNS Proxy" link with a login form. I followed this link and it was successfully accepted. It redirected my requests to one of the servers offered in the proxy. Now I can access any website I wish!

How to configure DNS for Cisco Umbrella?

Cisco Umbrella is one of the most comprehensive Cisco VPNs.

It has a lot of features, and it is a solution suitable for businesses of every size. The VPN server runs on Microsoft Windows operating system, and thus this solution is mainly aimed at Microsoft Windows networks. To connect to the VPN server you need to configure Windows computers. If you wish to connect Windows devices with a different Operating System (such as a MAC), you need an external client, and you need to install it there. In this article, I'll guide you how to configure your computers to connect to the IP address of the VPN server. But first, let me tell you what type of IP addresses and DNS should you give your computers.

A computer receives internet connection through Internet Protocol or IP address. Every IP address has two parts: Network part - the part before the first dot. Netmask - the part after the first dot. For example, 192.168.25 has a network address 192.0/25 and a subnet mask of 255. But if you use a computer with an IP address 192.17, then you cannot access the internal resource of the office. To reach the resource at the Office the Computer needs to be at IP address 192. Or so it seems. Why? The IP address that you use to assign to the VPN must be on the range of the IP address allocated to the IP subnetwork in which the office is located. However the IP address should be in the same subnet of the address given to the office, only if the IP address is assigned to a single network segment. In other words, if the office has two network segments, each assigned to the different addresses and computers. In case you are connecting only one segment of your company's network to the public internet, you could simply use any IP address in a single subnetwork from an external public IPv4 range. For example, say you have an office with the IP address 192.12.1, and you assign a subnet mask of 255. This address is also associated with the private LAN or Network segment of the company.

What are the DNS servers IP addresses?

How do I get the IP address of a server that is part of a DNS setup?

It's easy. You need to know where your DNS servers are. They should be listed in the man pages, or you can look at the files in /etc/resolv.conf. They are usually the nameservers for your ISP.

Edit: If you're asking about the ip addresses of the server you're running, you can either check the /etc/hosts file (look for your hostname), or try nslookup or dig. I don't know how you're setting up your nameservers. Is this a nameserver you set up yourself? If so, you'll have to ask whoever gave you the configuration instructions.
