How do I use PureVPN with utorrent?

I purchased a PureVPN subscription at the start of July this year and have been very happy with their speeds and connections.

This is my first VPN experience with utorrent and I wondered how I would achieve the same level of speed and connection while using utorrent.

My current setup is a 1mbit connection with an old Vivo mini i7 desktop, I have a second 3GB fibre line that I would like to use with the VPN but unsure on how this would work. I am connecting through a wireless router (Linksys DD WRT54GLv2) on an extender. It is connected to 2x 1mb ethernet ports with dual WAN ports on each port.

I would assume that I need both the DD WRT and VPN to be connected to these ports as I understand the 2 WAN ports to be for the 2 routers and the 3gb line to be from the second modem to the DD WRT? If anyone could explain how it all works with utorrent in terms of a diagram or explain how to configure utorrent with the VPN that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I don't think that your setup is complicated. You can connect each piece of hardware separately to each of the three networks. If you are going to connect to the third network, do it using both VPN and regular network.

As for how to configure utorrent, I haven't tried that myself yet. But it seems that PureVPN does not give instructions on how to configure utorrent. You should contact them, maybe they can help.

You are right thank you. I am running a dual WAN connection as a backup plan and plan on changing the routers when the weather is warm enough to run it outside with just a solar panel to power it.

Is a VPN worth it for Torrenting Reddit?

Reddit is a community of people who discuss Reddit, often politics and other things.

A user on reddit has a lot of users (and sometimes even more than one account) following and posting comments in the subreddits related to the topic. But there is a problem: most users (the big part) of reddit don't use the VPN because they are afraid of privacy issues. So, is it safe torrent reddit with the help of a VPN? We analyze the issue and answer your questions.

What do Redditors need VPN for? On Reddit, users don't connect to each other directly by IP address. There is a tool called Whois for this. It's something like a DNS server where you can find the IP address of a specific user on the website, and also their country and ISP.

But who knows what information the ISP has access to and where the information is stored. What if you are an ISP? What if you sell your users' data? We wouldn't know whether you keep the information or not. How could we check if you do? How can we know if the information is kept on you or somewhere else?

As a result, reddit users avoid connecting directly to each other by IP. It's like a decentralized network where no one has direct control of everything. This is a great solution to any censorship attempts. Users connect by Tor and browse the site.

How does VPN work? VPN, also known as Virtual Private Network, is a technology which enables you to be anonymous, protect your identity, encrypt your data and access blocked services (such as streaming sites). By default, when you connect to the internet through a Wi-Fi network, you can use a website and all its services like any other user. In this case, you can go to Facebook or search for videos on YouTube. When you connect using VPN, there will be some additional protocol and some extra steps to make you anonymous. You connect to the VPN server, and the IP you connect from is masked by the VPN, like you were connected from another country.

VPN encrypts your data and sends it through the tunnel to the server of your choice. The reason why is that if your data falls into the hands of the wrong party, it would be very hard to retrieve your data.
