Why does TI-84 cost so much?
Is it worth that much?
I have a CX4, but I am not sure if I should get a new TI. Why is it so expensive? Is it worth the money? The TI-84 is a pocket calculator, not a computer. You are paying for the display and case, not the operating system or any software. The reason the TI-84 costs so much is because it is a low cost item and TI puts a lot of effort into making sure the TI-84 is the best in its class. That is one reason why there are different TI-84 models, the TI-84 Plus is the next model up from the TI-84. You can compare them on a calculator page.
A TI-84 has all the features of a TI-84 Plus. There are more calculators that cost less. You will get most of the features you need for your math and science courses.
If you are only doing basic school math and science classes you won't need anything beyond a basic TI-84. However, if you are taking higher level math and science classes (eg, Calculus, Linear Algebra, Physics), you may find a TI-84 Plus to be much more useful.
Is there an online version of TI-84?
So, I'm an advanced student and have a pretty decent TI-84 for a year now.
I'm taking a course on programming, and I'm still stuck on making the graphing calculator do what I want it to do. In particular, I'm stuck on how to make the calculator recognize two numbers (or any more, I guess) as a function of each other.5 This is for a program that should be written in TI-Basic. If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know! Thanks for reading this.
To write a function f of x and y, you need to know how to add an expression to the operands of f. The operator is + Also, you need to know how to define an expression, ie a sequence of symbols that is enclosed by parentheses. So, you need to know how to parse an expression from the keyboard, how to interpret it, and how to compose it. Fortunately, TI-84 has a built-in function that does this: expr.
The syntax for expr is quite simple.
How do you graph on a TI-84 calculator?
I can use the TI-84 for graphing just fine, but I have a question that doesn't seem to be answered anywhere.
I'm trying to graph a function that has two variables, x and y. And I want to graph it using the coordinates x = 0 and y = 1.
But if I change the coordinate system to something like x = 0 and y = 1.01, the line will be curved.
Does anyone know how I can fix this so that it will work with the original coordinate system? I've tried changing the y axis to something like y = 0.01 and y = 1.01, but then the graph gets a bit weird, and the curve is still incorrect.01, it looks like this:
The point is that it is a straight line, not a curve, with no curvature. It's almost as if the y axis is ignored and the graph is just drawn from x = 0 to x = 1 in the x axis. And that makes sense, since the graph is drawn from -1 to 1, so the y axis is ignored.
But it's a bit weird, because it doesn't make any sense to graph from -1 to 1, then draw a straight line. And I can't find any way to make the curve look more like it is supposed to look. I don't understand how a line graph can be drawn from -1 to 1, and then be a straight line, without any curvature. Also, when I use the y axis, and set it to y = 0.01, it gives me this weird graph that looks like this: This is not the graph I expected, since the y axis is supposed to go from -1 to 1.
How do I get my TI-84 on my computer?
The TI-84 is a popular calculator among students.
It's small, easy to use, and it's got a great battery life. However, the TI-84 does not have an onscreen keyboard. It's pretty hard to type in data manually on the TI-84 screen. If you have a laptop or PC with a keyboard, you can use your computer's keyboard to enter in data manually. If you don't have a keyboard, there are other options to get your TI-84 on your computer.
In order to use your TI-84 on your computer, you'll need to download and install software. You can download the software from the TI-84 site. The TI-84 software will allow you to create and modify your workbooks, access your account information, and do other workbook specific tasks.
To install the TI-84 software, you'll need a USB-powered computer. You can use any computer that's been updated to run the latest operating system (usually Windows 7 or 8). Make sure your computer is plugged into a power source, and then connect the USB cable that came with your TI-84 to your computer.
When you first plug in your TI-84 to your computer, the screen should go blank. If it doesn't, don't worry. The TI-84 isn't set to display anything on its screen when it's plugged in. It has its own screen for displaying information that only your TI-84 can see. After a few minutes, your TI-84 will appear on your computer.
If you're installing the TI-84 software on a laptop, the TI-84 won't come with a cord to plug it into the laptop. You'll need to find a cable that will fit your computer and your TI-84. You can find TI-84 cables at any electronics store, or you can purchase them from the TI-84 site.
You don't need to install the TI-84 software on your laptop. You can download the TI-84 software from your laptop using your Internet browser. When you first plug your TI-84 into your laptop, the screen should go blank.
