Is NordVPN better than IPVanish?
Read my in-depth IPVanish review here
As a subscriber to IPVanish, I've used NordVPN and IPVanish side-by-side for months.
Over the course of those many months, I've logged about 150 VPN hours and used both, plus various combinations, to explore NordVPN's features and functionality. I've tried some others as well but am not including them in the post because they were only a minor part of my analysis.
What follows is my IPVanish review/comparison - and my findings: IPVanish Pros. Able to connect from many places (many countries and territories included), with few/no issues (no issues ever, period). Very fast streaming on Windows. Connects easily and quickly from almost any place in the world, even on mobile connections. Consistent, powerful, highly encrypted performance and connectivity; it will probably never disconnect! A little cheaper in the long run than NordVPN or others. IPVanish Cons. A poor VPN with an average user experience overall. Poor UI/software/support compared to other VPNs that are even a few years old. Doesn't offer a no-logs policy. Doesn't offer a free trial. IPVanish Verdict: No, I wouldn't recommend it. Much longer in business than IPVanish (more than 6 years now). Great pricing for a VPN. Excellent customer support (if you call and speak to somebody there). One of the best looking, designed, and most feature-rich VPN clients available today. Well reviewed in almost every niche of the Internet. Supports most devices well. A poor VPN client overall. Doesn't have a VPN that's nearly as good as those already mentioned. Overall verdict: Yes. I still recommend using it NordVPN Review. How does NordVPN differ from the competition? Why has it been around for over six years and been improving steadily (and successfully) year after year?
Is IPVanish better than ExpressVPN?
Which service is best for watching Game of Thrones?
The two competing service providers that are competing over the right to watch Game of Thrones, and so many other shows on HBO in the UK, in a nutshell, are IPVanish and ExpressVPN. Both services have a lot to offer and both offer unlimited bandwidth for customers so you can stream as much as you want. IPVanish vs ExpressVPN - How much do they cost and what is available on each? There are many things to take into consideration with both services. You'll see in this section we highlight all of these key differentiators and put some comparisons between each service to help you make an informed choice. Let's get started:
Prices - IPVanish is one of the cheapest service providers, currently going for 7.50 per month which nets you 1TB of dedicated data. While ExpressVPN is a little bit pricier at a monthly rate of 12.95 which nets you 2.5TB of dedicated data. With both services you do get free unlimited downloads from Netflix, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, Now TV, Crackle, HBO GO and many more networks!
Bandwidth - IPVanish offers its users a large 1004Mbps/1002Mbps connection in shared mode or a whopping 5072Mbps in dedicated mode. This gives you plenty of room for streaming and downloading even during peak hours on broadband, something many people love to do on IPVanish.
What's great about IPVanish is its unlimited torrent speeds at max 3072Kbps so you won't get any throttling with them. ExpressVPN on the other hand has a fixed upload of 60Mbps which means they get limited to a max of 45 mins. Of course if you're looking for something truly unrestricted, then IPVanish is the way to go.
Possible IPVanish vs ExpressVPN Screenshot Comparison. Security. This is where ExpressVPN really shines - they promise to never share your private information such as your payment details, credit card number, or banking info (like passwords or other sensitive info). IPVanish on the other hand doesn't hold your details to the same standards as their competitors.
Is IPVanish a good VPN on Reddit?
This post is a compilation of my experiences with IPVanish.
I didn't use the service for more than two months, but during that time, I used the service a lot more than I usually do.
In the following paragraphs, I will explain to you the pros and cons of using this VPN service. I recommend you read everything before you use it, as the experience I had will be the same you have with it.
Cons. To start, IPVanish is not anonymous. The VPN server it uses doesn't even offer a private IP address for customers, so if you don't pay attention to what the server IP address of your session is, you'll find out that it's publicly exposed on internet. So, yes, it's a VPN service, but they really sell their customer's information.
As said, IPVanish does not offer a private IP address. You'll find out the public IP address of your VPN connection.
They also don't offer the ability to use multiple virtual connections on the same server. This means that when you're using the service, the speed of your connection will only be limited by the speed of the server you are connected to, not by your own home internet connection speed.
The VPN servers are in the United States, so this means that the connection speeds to those servers are limited by the US laws. Last but not least, the service allows users to connect from countries that aren't the EU. So, if you live in an EU country and use IPVanish, and you decide to leave the country, you will lose your privacy, unless you have a VPN that allows you to choose servers based on your country of residence.
The server location in the United States is not the same as mine, but my connection was fast enough that I didn't care about where the server was located.
