What is the command for DNS on Mac?
I'm a noob trying to install Windows 10 on a Mac Pro.
I followed the instructions on this website and it went ok until it gets to the part where you have to do the command "sudo nvram boot-args=""".
I'm very confused as to what exactly that does. The website says it removes Windows 10 from Bootcamp, but then this happens. I don't want to mess anything up, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
As you can see in your video, you boot in BIOS/EFI mode and there is no such option in your Windows installation, which means that you are installing in CSM (Compatibility Support Module) mode, which is a mode used in previous versions of Windows (since Windows 8). You can read more about this mode and how it works here: In order to install Windows in a more compatible mode, you need to know your motherboard model and then check with this site to determine the Windows version to be used. If your motherboard is A1365 or newer, you can use the latest version of Windows (10 build 1607 or later). If your motherboard is older, you can only use Windows 10 build 1507.
Once you've determined the appropriate version of Windows to install, go back into the Terminal and run: sudo nvram boot-args="bios.cpuid.maxcstate=1 bios.
