What is the best streaming deal right now?
The best deal right now is the Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa voice remote.
Why? Because the Fire TV Stick has a tiny 2-inch display, so you don't need a TV to watch what you're watching. You can watch on your computer screen, or on the Amazon Fire TV app on your phone, or on your Apple TV, and so on.
The remote is basically useless, but it's free, and Alexa is pretty cool, too. But before we go any further, there's a few things you should know about this deal: This is a limited time offer for one day only at Best Buy stores and online. They'll probably have more stock on hand by the time you read this, so if you want one, act fast.
You can only get it at Best Buy stores and online. Don't expect to find it at any other stores, including Amazon.
It won't work if you already have an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick. It's not compatible with older models.
It's the same as the Amazon Fire TV Stick, but with 4K HDR compatibility, and a different remote. That means you won't get the free Echo Dot, but you will get Alexa, plus 4K HDR content like the latest season of House of Cards, plus Amazon's own shows like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Man in the High Castle.
If you've been following my site, you've probably noticed I'm not a big fan of 4K HDR streaming, because it makes everything look so bright and fake-looking. It's like someone put a bunch of lights on the ceiling and set them all to max brightness. (I've seen a few people talk about how they don't notice the difference between HDR content and non-HDR content, but the rest of us really do.)
I get that 4K HDR is the future, but for now, we're stuck with old-fashioned HD content. If you can't live with the look of old-fashioned HD content, this isn't the deal for you.

99 from Amazon, which you can find on a lot of other sites, but not always. If you're in need of a 4K TV and you want one with Alexa built in, we recommend going with this model.
The Fire TV HD's biggest drawback is that it doesn't have a voice remote that can be used as a microphone, so it's completely useless when watching shows in bed. It offers the same amount of storage space as the Fire TV HD but without Alexa or voice remote support.99 just weeks ago.99 for just 24 hours starting at 5am PT.99 listed today.99 and let me know how long that lasts (you cancel the order at any time before 12:01am PT on September 22).
Is there any Netflix bundles?
So I was thinking about building a new rig using the Dell PowerEdge T510 and Dell Mini 9.
I thought, "hmm, maybe I should get a 1080P cable and connect both computers together and watch movies on my television?" And, of course, I decided, "Well duh! That's the stupidest thing I've ever thought." I'm very bad at making smart decisions.
Anyways, so the other night I was browsing YouTube and saw this video where someone talked about his own bundle which is basically two boxes in one: The LG OLED TV and the Blu-ray player. I don't have any TVs or Blu-rays to plug in, but I'm tempted to order it online to take a look at what it looks like. Anyone done this before?
I like this idea as well. I have a TV in the living room with a cable box and the second room with a computer/monitor (actually my old desktop) but no TV to watch videos or tv shows on. This will be handy for when I want to watch something, but I dont want to use my laptop (or desktop for that matter) because that monitor is way too small for me to view HD content from.
So, anybody did this bundle dealie before? What was your impressions on the equipment? Any issues or problems? Has anyone had an opportunity to watch HD content from your computer from a TV? Would you recommend it to others? I have a TV in the living room with a cable box and the second room with a computer/monitor (actually my old desktop) but no TV to watch videos or tv shows on. This will be handy for when I want to watch something, but I dont want to use my laptop (or desktop for that matter) because that monitor is way too small for me to view HD content from.
I think it depends on how far you can run your cable. If you have a large enough router you can extend the router's wireless signal throughout the house.
