How do you fix chromedriver can t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software?

Hello All.

I have recently updated my MAC OS to the latest version and all of a sudden chromedriver doesn't work with Selenium anymore. When I open the application, it gives me this error: "Can't open the file because Apple cannot check it for malicious software."
I have tried updating to latest version and uninstalling, reinstalling, but nothing is working. Any suggestions? Thank you! I don't know how exactly your installation went, but from my experience, it's better to install/update ChromeDriver by using brew instead of downloading from chromedriver.

Why is my Google Chrome not opening on my Mac?

I also have a Windows 10 computer that I just can't get chrome to open on. Every time I try it opens and immediately closes. Please help me, I need it to work.

Chromebooks can be an interesting alternative to an OSX or Windows laptop or desktop. There are, however, a number of caveats you need to be aware of. Here are some things you need to look at before jumping right in.

I've been using Mac for more than two decades now. In order to use many Mac software, I had to either use Wine or Virtual machines with Microsoft's Hyper-V (Virtual Machines work really well for this). Wine works very poorly for most Mac software and is not recommended for the long-term use.

That said, Macs do run on Google Chrome very nicely on all OS versions, but one thing that you must watch out for is "Not all apps are optimized for Google Chrome" message. You will notice in many software, a warning to say that "This program has not been optimized for Google Chrome and it might not work properly". This means that the native application itself will work. It will actually work without any problem; it might be sluggish sometimes, but it's still functional. However, when you have a lot of RAM available and Google Chrome is already running, then you can experience a lot of lag. Google Chrome only uses 1GB of RAM, whereas the system itself uses a whopping 16GB.

That makes me think about what we're talking about here. If you need internet, you need a browser. So, which one you choose is up to you. But as for me, I've been using Chrome on macOS lately. And I'm loving it so much that I'm willing to give it up if Chrome doesn't open, that means my OS isn't compatible anymore!

This happened to me as well. I have a macbook pro 2023.

It has been working just fine. On Monday, I turned on my computer and when I go to start google chrome my computer says this: You can use another browser or just start your own. The computer does work just fine. I was wondering if I would just need to restart it and everything will be good to go.
