How do I turn off app restrictions on Family Link?

How do I allow restricted apps on Family Link?

I tried using the parental settings on Family Link but could not find it. I'm trying to connect my laptop and desktop with my family members but cannot seem to get around this issue. I've followed numerous articles on various forums, I cannot find the option. I'd like to be able to connect my wife's Windows 10 Home and my 8.1 OS, so that I can share content with her.

I went to the family link website on the windows desktop as follows: I pressed the top option. Familylink is the default program, which means it has to have been configured previously. But if there's no way to open that, then it's very possible that it was never configured.

You can right-click on the app in the Windows start menu, and under properties, you will see the permissions section. Click Advanced Permissions, and allow Full Control for your account or logon if you wish. This will allow Full Control to all of the programs in your list of installed programs.

The easiest solution is to download the trial version of Rufus.exe, and use it to install the bootable ISO image that you have downloaded from the site that you are running from.exe allows you to burn the ISO to a disk and then use the boot disc that is created to boot up and install the OS from the disk. When your device is booted with a new operating system, you simply add the existing programs that were previously added during installation as they will now be compatible with the operating system. You should now be able to install Windows 10 with no issues and all the features you were looking for. It can even be a clean install if you wished as well.

To be more specific, I was looking to see if the desktop environment on the tablet worked as expected. But then I discovered that my son had also purchased the phone on their own. It seems he had installed some apps that conflicted with Family Link.

How do I unblock apps on Family Link as a parent?

I set up Family Link a few months ago for my 3 and 5 year old children.

I have already unblocked the Apple Store (apparently only one app can be unblocked at a time) and I have unblocked several other apps on my device, such as Family Time, etc. The kids have a profile with familylink.com so they don't need to use their password to log in.

I am worried about allowing my kids to go around and browse the App Store freely, because they might accidentally buy something from the app store (because my phone says I haven't blocked the App Store). So, how do I unblock the App Store to make sure they can't accidentally download any apps? Or how do I block just one specific app on my device from them? Or even from myself? Is there any way to make a custom profile for each user on Family Link? There is no method currently to allow only specific apps to access your account. When you set up a child's account, it will look like it is being used from that specific device, and the child will need to log in to use the app. The only way to restrict access to an app is to limit the devices that they can use it on. For example, you could enable the 'block' button to only allow usage of the app from their laptop, or the iPhone at home, or the iPad at school.

The solution is to set up multiple profiles to allow multiple devices. This is the reason the free service exists in the first place. It doesn't matter if you allow access for their phone or your phone, as both are using the same account. But if your family uses two different phones, or both your phone and dad's phone, then you'll need multiple accounts. We don't want your child using your phone.

You can create profiles for each device that they are allowed to use. On their phone, you would enable the option for their profile. On your device, you would create a new account for the child's profile. Then, you can block the apps that they cannot have access to, such as the phone app.

If you were to put the phone on that profile, then the phone would still ask the parents for permission. If the parents say yes, then they will be able to see that phone on the profile.
