Where is my VPN on my Samsung phone?

My friend has a Samsung S3 phone and he has a VPN program installed on it.

I can't find it anywhere on the phone even when I look in the "system" folder. Does anyone know where I could find it? I tried searching Google but I don't have any luck.

You can try to install the software on a computer and see if it works there. If it does, then the software might be installed somewhere in the "data" section of your phone. You can try to run your SD card in another phone, and see if it finds the VPN app.

Is there any way to use that VPN on a computer? Or is it only for mobile use? My friend uses his Samsung S3 (and I have a Samsung Galaxy S4) with his VPN software installed on it. The software works on both devices.

I've been using it on my computer for quite some time now. You may have to download and install the software on your computer first. If you can't find it in the system folder, try installing it on another computer and see if it's there.

If it doesn't work on your phone or your computer, it might be a good idea to contact Samsung support, and ask them to help you fix the issue. Yes, I was thinking of trying to get it working on my computer, but I have no idea how to do that.

How do I enable VPN on my Samsung phone?

I have the Galaxy S4 Mini and I want to enable the VPN.

I've gone to Settings>VPN, but when I select Enable it says: "This service is currently unavailable". How do I enable VPN on my phone?

I had same problem while installing OpenVPN on Samsung GT-i5800. I installed both samsung-openvpnclient & samsung-openvpnserver as per instructions here (Samsung Openvpn Client): and it work fine, then I found out that Samsung Openvpn client is only available for Wi-Fi connections, not 3G or EDGE connection.

I just downloaded Samsung a13 from Google Play, but when I turn on the VPN option to "ON" and enter my email it says my phone is not connected to Google account.

Please help, this is so aggravating Do you have Google on your Google account? Or is that an option in the app settings? If you don't have it, could you please try it to see if that resolves it for you? Let us know. If you do have it, then please let us know if it still doesn't work for you.

Just to be sure - you should always put Google account info on your phone before downloading apps, setting up the initial set-up of the device. Even though you may turn off the option, Google account info will prevent you from ever logging in to your Google account on your phone.

If you have any issues with installing an app on your phone, please report them to support. You can turn on VPN via Settings->Wireless & Networks->VPN>Enable. Once enabled, your Samsung Smartphone will now become Google Mobile Connect enabled device. You will have option to log in with the Google account on your phone, provided your phone is connected to a Google Account.

I did the same thing as you and I couldn't get it to work no matter what I did, even though it said my phone was connected to Google account. So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the Play Store and voila it works now. I'm not sure why but I think the Google API must not work with the Samsung Galaxy A series phones.

Thank you so much, I tried all the things I normally do such as deleting apps/data, then reinstalling Samsung Apps etc and still didn't work. However, I turned on my VPN on my iPhone and it automatically turned on the VPN on my Samsung a13, therefore it worked like a charm! Thanks again. Hope this will help you too. Just keep trying.
