How do I reset my ASUS RT AX 3000?
How to reset my ASUS RT AX 3000?
I am the type of person who keeps everything clean. Even my computer (and laptop) gets cleaned out, and wiped down whenever needed. I just don't keep anything dirty around the house for long. So lately it is very annoying that on a normal day, I'd find something to brush up against or something is in a very inconvenient place for the next day, and I just can't find it at that day. And I hate it that the time it takes me to find such thing is already over. Now, since I am a little annoyed at the time I spend on finding such thing, I started thinking about the way of removing that little annoyance from my life. I decided to make a list of every item and what they do to prevent that item from being misplace while saving the time to do so. There are so many things around, and I decided to not include this method for items I do not know. I will use a specific order for this method; I know it does not work the same way for all items, but I made this list because of the way I do laundry. It's a perfect, easy way to go through your laundry room and get items that are no longer used. This way there will be fewer things you need to keep track of when the laundry room is the messiest. I found a lot of these things around the house and even in my car; and I am not sure which category is which. If you know for a fact which of them are in which category, let me know, and I might update this article. Let's get started.
Toilet paper/paper towel/waste rolls/trash roll(WITH a container that locks)- Laundry Room. Paper towels can come from a roll or can be bought individual sheets. A roll that is still sealed is not a problem, but after all the paper towels are used up, you just can't continue to buy them like that. I got myself one of those garbage bags that fit in a toilet, so this seems like a good choice; especially for trash. What I like is that my trash bag is much smaller than any other trash bag, as I have to carry small and light items while going outdoors. Not only that, but my toilet cleaner gets into it easily as well.
How do I factory reset my ASUS RT?
How to factory reset a wireless router.
I recently bought an ASUS RT v1.2 to serve as the wireless access point for our living room entertainment system. But when I plug it in the internet keeps flickering. I think the problem might be related to factory reset. How do I do it? Thanks
Answer. The Asus RT is actually running Windows Embedded Automotive - that's why there's a whole special section of instructions and tools available for it. Click the small blue triangle to the right of "Settings" and select "Uninstall". A dialog box should open with various links to Windows Embedded Automotive tools. If Windows Embedded Automotive is listed at the top of that dialog box, that means the tool is installed.
You can then close out the "Uninstall" dialog box. The next time you want to uninstall Windows Embedded Automotive, you'll have to repeat this procedure.
Now try downloading the ASUS Router Configuration Software - it's included with your RT purchase, or you can download it from the ASUS site here: Now follow the instructions in the included "Asus Router Configuration Software Guide" and restart your RT. It will now boot up the setup utility, which has various options. (On my RT, I chose "Basic Options.") The top of the screen will show a series of options (like DHCP enabled, or WEP key length) along the left side. If your RT doesn't show the setup utility, you can get it by pressing F8 on your PC or laptop keyboard when it's running normally.
You can also try going to the Windows XP Start menu, selecting Control Panel, selecting Network and Internet, then double-clicking on either "Set Up a New Network Connection" or "Set Up a New Connection". These options should let you configure a wireless connection.
Your RT comes with a couple different wireless cards, both USB and PCI. If you know the make and model number of the card you purchased, you can usually find it by typing it into the Asus RT site above.
If it's not there, you'll need to look up that information from the original package or the website where you purchased it. And you may need to purchase a new USB wireless card.
How do I factory reset my ASUS?
You need to factory reset your ASUS if you want to remove all the previous data, install the software again, and make sure your ASUS performs as intended.
The factory reset option is also known as hard reset or system restore. Factory reset is one of the ways to reset ASUS to its original factory state. Once your device is factory reset, you will have to re-install all of your apps and programs again.
Go to Settings Privacy Factory data reset and press Factory reset. Step 1: Click the Factory data reset button at the top of the page. Step 2: Wait for it to start. Step 3: Tap Accept to confirm you want to do a factory reset. Step 4: Wait for it to complete. Step 5: Connect your device to a power source and select Battery to connect to your phone or tablet's USB connection. Step 6: Open your email or messaging app. Step 7: Press the power button on your device several times until you see the Reboot notification. Note: If you do not see the notification, go to the ASUS home screen and check the notifications. This will bring you to a Reboot screen. Step 8: Tap the Reboot button. Step 9: Wait for it to finish rebooting. Step 10: Connect your device to a power source and select Battery to connect to your phone or tablet's USB connection. Step 11: Open your email or messaging app. Step 12: Click the power button on your device several times until you see the Reboot notification. Step 13: Tap the Reboot button. Step 14: Wait for it to finish rebooting. Step 15: Connect your device to a power source and select Battery to connect to your phone or tablet's USB connection.
What is the default password for ASUS ax3000?
My ax3000 doesn't have a user interface and I tried to install kubuntu but it keeps telling me that the password for the wifi can not be found.
Is there a way to change the default username/passwd for the Ax3000? I just want to change it so I can login without going through all of the steps for my WiFi and ethernet settings in the phone. Can I change it with a usb driver or something? I've installed kubuntu over the top of the android but it won't boot up. It tells me that the username/password are missing and won't allow me to log in. Is there any way I can change the password for my phone so that I don't have to go through all of the steps for WiFi and Ethernet every time I want to use the phone?
I've been trying to figure this out for hours. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
First, try to enter the admin (or whatever it was you set) as your new username and the new password. Then try logging into wifi and check if that works. After that try to reboot and set it up again, just make sure that you change the password and also that you select the "Admin" option, but don't add anything else (like other users). If that's what's wrong try to uninstall and reinstall everything, do a complete reinstall, and then do a factory reset. Hope this helps!
If it happens again, try to change the WiFi name and see if that helps. I don't think so, because there is no admin, which is what you need to get into network management (in fact, in some ROMs like CyanogenMod there's no admin at all - it's a system-level thing). This is why there's a special "admin" option, which should be created automatically when you turn on the Wi-Fi (and it should work as well on rooted devices).
For me, after flashing the "system" recovery, when I select adb shell I got a command line only. Not even the basic apps works. I have to reinstall the Android version. Then I try to enter the recovery mode but the recovery is not listed.
I flashed the "system" recovery, then I had to reinstall Android and now I have to download recovery.
