Why does Hulu say I'm ineligible?

The only explanation I get from Hulu is that the device they support is only for Windows or Mac computers.

However, all of the links on their own page are Windows-compatible. Even their iPhone app is for Windows, and they say right at the top of the page that they can support all Apple products. Did you follow the steps correctly? I don't need to follow steps. I have an iPhone that works with Hulu. My concern is why can't I watch my shows with this device. If I want a Windows laptop I'll buy one and use it. Not that it's a big issue, but why was I "deselected" for whatever reason when I was selected before? That doesn't make sense to me. There's no explanation for it, only the same reason they gave me. I don't want to give money to Microsoft.

I was selected for being an Apple user. I've never had a problem using it with my iPod Touch and I never said I wasn't Apple friendly.

Why am I not able to access Hulu?

I just installed an old version of IE (8), and for some reason, my media links from Hulu.com are not working. The site opens up fine, but it just loads a blank white page. I'm not sure if the problem is Hulu or my browser.

Is there any way to tell? UPDATE: So it turns out the problem was that I wasn't able to access Hulu at all because of an error message that said, "Your Media Player may not be supported." However, I can still access Hulu in Internet Explorer 7. I'm not sure how it happened, or why it is not working in 8, but it appears that this is a bug with IE8.

I had the same problem and fixed it by running IE8 on Compatibility View. Then it went back to working just fine. I think it's a bit odd that IE8 would do this, but it's fixed now.

Thanks! EDIT: I had the same problem. After a few days of trying, I found that doing Compatibility View works for me. I'm using IE8 and it works in compatibility view. If you do not want to turn on compatibility view, I suggest to use a different browser such as Firefox.

I had this problem too but I fixed it. I had an old IE installed and since my PC was slow, I downloaded a different one so it didnt crash. But I did not install it in compatibility view. So when I switched back, everything worked fine again.
