PlayStation Vue: The Battle Royale So which one is the best streaming service for live TV? We've done a little bit of comparison shopping between these services and determined that YouTube TV comes out on top for three reasons. First of all, YouTube TV has a unique 'cloud DVR' feature that makes it really easy to schedule recording time, even if you're just having a little trouble remembering what you want to record. It's not the cheapest of the bunch, but it's the cheapest in terms of the monthly fee you have to pay, and you're getting everything the others offer in terms of features, including cloud DVR. Do any streaming services offer local channels?

I haven't been able to find information on this topic.

Is there any streaming service where you can view your local tv station on demand (free)? I'd prefer a Roku over my PS3 if that's a possibility. Thanks

There's no streaming channel in Roku because Roku doesn't have that feature and the PS3 does so it wouldn't be a fair comparison. For me, since I'm not going to be watching much of anything, maybe for sports? I'm just thinking about it. I mean, I haven't signed up for any services yet.

Re: ? This sounds accurate, but even if you are talking about an Apple TV or Xbox 360 this would only work in the US where cable services are based on local networks. It would have no effect on the other side of the pond where all major networks are available worldwide.

I'm talking about any free option, whether it's from a service like Roku, Netflix, etc. By the way, do any streaming options work outside of the US? That's what I'd like to know. I'm actually not aware of any service that provides anything for your local channels. Even if you have a Roku, it's still very difficult to get any local TV channels. The only TV you'll get is the ones that are on the Dish Network. Since the Dish Network is owned by Sling Media, they are very much interested in promoting their own product and not competing with DirecTV.

I don't know of any way to get the local network outside of the US. There's no way to get AMC, CBS, ABC, etc. Outside of the US.

Also, the TV Guide Channel is only available to pay subscribers, and I don't think it's available on any free services.
