I have a Gmail account with a Google Apps for Business account and while it works well, one thing really bugged me, that I have a security issue with it.

Gmail disables less secure apps in your account because of that there is no more updates on security if the website or apps is not secure. Is it just the way it works? Can we use this as an advantage to us to develop better and safe applications?

Gmail does that check less secure apps for a couple reasons: (1) You should only use apps from the officially supported (ie Google-approved) list of App Market apps; and (2) Google wants to keep you informed about the security of these apps. However, there are certain circumstances when it's okay to use an unapproved app. First, apps that we may want to use can be automatically approved. If your email or account is configured with two-factor authentication, then certain unapproved apps are always accessible. I just tried to enable 3rd party access on Gmail and I'm getting the following error: This email account has already been verified.

Please check your email, and click the verification link within to complete the sign in process. I've never seen this message before and I've checked my spam folder but there is no 3rd party email addresses listed in there. It's more likely that you've already signed up for Gmail's new three-step verification program and someone already used your email address. In which case, it would be a bad idea to allow access to your Gmail account.
