What is the best MTU setting for PS4?

What should my MTU setting be?

Ok.

I have a Dlink wireless USB card, model number DWL-U122. It works fine with Windows, and is recognized in the Network Connections (right click My Computer) dialog box. The problem is that it doesn't seem to connect or pass on traffic under OS X. It's almost as if there is an MTU size issue, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Here is what I've tried to no avail:

Changing the MTU size (defaulting to 1500). Tried adding it to /etc/sysctl.conf.

Set my network adapters MTU size to either 1023 or 1022. I also notice that it connects fine under Windows, and the router (Dlink) reports no dropped packets or errors. Any ideas? Thanks! MTU = Maximum Transmission Unit. There is a setting in the OS X System Preferences -> Sharing for a similar purpose. You can also set this using the terminal using sysctl (see man sysctl). You may also need to increase the MTU for the WiFi card. On my old computer this was done by booting into the live CD and using the network preferences in the menu system->administration->networking.

Edit: Try this command (in Terminal). Sudo sysctl -p. This will force the command to write to sysctl. You can then try all of the other settings you've already tried to see which one works. If you're having trouble with sysctl -p you may have to use sudo sysctl -p after rebooting and logging back in.

What is MTU in networking PS4?

MTU is the Maximum Transmission Unit. It is the largest packet that can be sent over the network.

What is a packet? A packet is a unit of data, similar to a piece of mail, that can be sent through the network. The packet is broken down into a series of smaller pieces called datagrams or datagrams. When you send data through the internet, the data is broken down into packets and sent across the network. If the packets become too large, they may not fit into the packet size and are discarded.

What is the Maximum Transmission Unit? The Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is the largest packet that can be sent over the network. A typical MTU value is 1500 bytes.

How do I know what my MTU is? You can check your MTU value by using the ipconfig command. Use the following command: ipconfig /all. The Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) is the largest packet that can be sent over the network.
