What Is Getflix?

Getflix provides you with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, along with your normal local services, from almost any device without using a VPN. This is done without modifying any of the connection or protocol to the service so it works seamlessly in any region anywhere around the globe. With the addition of a browser plugin it makes Netflix a truly platform agnostic product.

VPN is not the same as a private tunnel as some are confusingly led to believe. VPN in this instance refers to a proxy server that acts as an intermediary between you and the data which comes from one server and goes to another (also very commonly called a virtual connection). In the case of Netflix, all your data goes from you to the VPN and it then goes on to the internet. A private tunnel is when the traffic of your internet activity originates from your device, like a web browser, mobile phone or smart TV, not a VPN. If someone else can see all of your data, you wouldn't want a private tunnel, as it might be for malicious reasons but what's more commonly used is simply a privacy concern.

Is Getflix working for you? If you're looking for a VPN with a strong focus on privacy and safety, our new product Getflix is designed specifically for you. Using a mix of encryption and DNS Leaks you'll never be spied upon, tracked or even seen and with speeds at most times significantly higher than what you could get within your local network, Getflix has something for you no matter where you are in the world.

Privacy concerns are a very valid one and we use two different technologies to achieve the same goal. Encryption. This is where a little bit of history and education is helpful. Encryption originally was used to keep messages like military secrets, or government data. In the 20th century crypto became used for banking information and credit cards. The basic concept for data encryption as a mechanism for security was already implemented centuries ago, and there's no fundamental change on that. The main difference nowadays is that people no longer know how to use it. So when you use encryption on your Internet or online device you now have a level of privacy protection that you wouldn't have had before.
