Can you accidentally access the dark web?

Is it illegal to watch the dark web?

I am just starting to investigate some of the darknet and I was wondering if someone can tell me if it is illegal to use a service like Tor to access websites on the darknet. I used to have one such site in the past and would like to get back into that genre. Please advise if there are any laws against this type of stuff. Thanks for any info on the subject.

The most that would happen to you if you got caught is a visit from the FBI or equivalent (but probably not). But just knowing how all the various law enforcement agencies operate and what is allowed and what is not is a good start. If anyone ever asked, lie.

There's two major questions with that question, one, what's illegal to do and, two, what's legal to do? That question itself isn't even a complete statement, so you'd need to answer each subquestion for clarity. For the record, I'm not familiar with how the law differs between countries, but I don't think that "It's illegal to commit acts which lead to the loss of human life" is actually a legal concept in the US, because of the Second Amendment, at least from what I understand, and if it is, I believe the loss of human life has to be immediate. As for whether it's legal to access the internet at all, I'm not sure how it works, but it is certainly a violation of our freedoms if you're not allowed to access the internet. If it's the dark web I'm looking for, then the answer is "absolutely." They aren't going to say anything because they don't know who you are and it's not illegal in their eyes. It would be up to a court to decide whether you have the right to use it. You'd have to pay someone a few thousand dollars for access to a court of appeals (not cheap) and you'd need to find your own lawyer, it's no easy task.

I don't have any experience in that area. Maybe if I looked at some of the dark web sites and see if they're available in America or anywhere else.

What is the dark web? The dark web is a collection of websites that are not accessible by search engines. It has thousands of websites that are accessible by individuals who are trying to avoid Google's restrictions on what it will show them. When you do a search in Google for a website, a lot of times you will get results that look like this:

You don't see that because you are probably logged in. If you are not logged in, you will see different results.

Why would I want to hide my searches from Google? Because there are some things you don't want Google to show you. If you use certain search engines, they are supposed to be restricted and not allow you to see information like credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, etc. There are some people who go way overboard with their searches. Some people search for things they don't even want to find out about, but, if they see the credit card number of a new website they are going to check it out.

So, if you use these other search engines you might not want to put your information into the Google search bar. What is the Tor browser? Tor is short for The Onion Router. It was designed by the U. Government and is used by researchers and other people to try and avoid getting tracked. It works like this: It comes with software. When you first load the browser it looks at a random number to determine where you are. For example, if it is 1, then you are in Kansas. Then it creates a new encrypted connection. Then, all of the websites you are visiting are forwarded through that connection, which hides the fact that you are actually on that website. You will have to use some kind of proxy service to access the dark web, but it will keep you safe.

How do I use a proxy? There are a lot of free proxy services online that you can use. I've never used them, but they are easy to use. I've also heard that some paid services are good. They will take your credit card info and everything.
