What VPN country works with Netflix?

I'd like to be able to watch movies and shows on Netflix in the UK.

I'm on a fairly limited connection so streaming it's always a pain, even with using their proxy service.

What VPN country would work well for me? I live in Canada, and am in the US now but when I am travelling I like to be able to access Netflix from a country where it's available without having to download torrents. My VPN is limited to the US as that's the cheapest option and is the only option that doesn't cost extra (if you pay for it yearly). The best option I've found is from CyberGhost - their VPN is also compatible with Firefox and chrome and allows unlimited bandwidth, although it can be a little buggy at times. When I tried to connect to Netflix it used about 5GB in a 20 minute window. It's very frustrating to have that many people getting data capped when they aren't even watching enough to justify it.

VPN services can't really be expected to provide unlimited bandwidth, as this would be a very large bill and you could get yourself into serious trouble by overusing it. With that in mind, my recommendation would be that you find an IP address in Europe or somewhere nearby. This will make your connection much faster. You will still have to deal with your ISP capping your data, however, and you won't be able to use any of Netflix's content beyond your speed cap.

Thanks for the info! I'd like to be able to watch Netflix in a country where the cost of bandwidth is lower - I live in Canada and I watch TV/films online all the time and it would be nice to be able to do so while travelling. There are two problems here. 1) Netflix is not available in your location. 2) Even if you had the service, it will be very slow. Netflix is limited to 1 gb per movie and the average internet speed is 15 mb per second.

Can Surfshark change Netflix region?

I am not very good at finding the right information online, but I would like to change Netflix' region.

I have two accounts with the same email address. My first account has the country code of US, but the second account has the country code of CN. I have the second account for an extra backup, and I would like to keep that. I'm not sure how to do this, and I want to make sure I'm not going to lose my Netflix subscription. Could someone please help me out?

Re: Surfshark can change Netflix region? If you don't mind the time, i'd ask in our Discord channel. It's a safe community, and we have an extremely knowledgeable staff. We can answer all of your questions!

Yes, it does. But you will have to delete the US account and re-create it.

You can also use the "Netflix" app from Google Play Store. It is easier to set up than the website and it works for most regions.

Both ways are great, and they will work. But if you get a region change in the future, make sure to cancel the VPN on your old account first, and then re-install it. Just go to the Netflix website in your browser and switch the region. That will take you to a page where you can select your region. Then just switch back to your VPN, and the VPN will redirect your internet traffic to your new Netflix region. As long as you do it before you cancel the VPN service, you'll be fine. Hello. I have a question, if I cancel the VPN service will it be possible to connect again to another country? For example, if I live in Australia and I decide to cancel the VPN service will it be possible to connect again to US Netflix and watch US movies? Is it possible for Netflix to change the region without telling us? Thanks. For starters, Surfshark has no control over which region you access Netflix from, so there is no need to worry about Netflix changing its own region.

Does Netflix block VPN?

Netflix has been a great option for us.

However, we were recently blocked and the only options we have are to use our router's port forwarding or to use VPN services. I've been using a free version of the VPN service with no issues.00 for a premium version and will continue to use my router's port forwarding.

If we're using port forwarding, we can't use a VPN, correct? Is there a way to use both services at the same time? Yes, Netflix will block VPN access if you aren't using a port that matches their content. You can't access any content on Netflix if your router is sending Netflix traffic to your WAN address and not a NAT address.

You need to either put your Netflix traffic through a NAT device or if you don't want to do that, use a port forwarder. The other option would be to use a VPN connection instead of a port forward. I know it's not as easy, but most routers have built in VPN client functionality.
