Is Minecraft bedrock now free?
When was it added to Minecraft?
What can I do with it? Is it like other blocks? Is it free? Can I get it? Are there any mods that make it free? What does it do? Can you use it in any way you want? How much space does it need? Does it allow building over it? What happens if I delete it? Minecraft bedrock is a texture pack that adds natural stones to the game. It comes as a block that can be placed by itself or by a normal block. It allows you to create a small mountain, a small river, and much more. Is 1.20 40 out?
The other day we ran into an issue where some of our players had an odd issue with the 1.
20 patch. The issue was that some of our players could not log in and as far as we can tell it was only with characters on the server and it was only with a specific character, and it was only on a specific server. It seems to have resolved itself after the patch, but we wanted to try to track down the cause of the problem.
Now as you can imagine, we have been doing our best to figure out what is going on, and so far it is looking like a bug in the code that is related to the 1. That is theory, anyway.
So I thought it would be useful if someone from the development team was able to get on the server and see if they could find anything. So I sent off a message to one of the devs asking if he would be willing to try and figure out what is going on. I am not sure if it will work out, but we are giving it a shot.
We are trying to do it at the moment and if we find a solution it will be posted here. I am sure that there is no guarantee that this will work, but it is worth a shot @kalashin - We will be doing a patch for 1.20 tonight (as in 2 hours). I have updated the forum post with the new patch. Hopefully we will have the issue resolved for everyone.
@Mantra - I don't think that the patch is going to be done for 1.20 today. But we should be done by Friday. We will have to see how things go. If you don't hear from us tomorrow then we will have to call it a night for now.
We will be doing a patch for 1.20 tonight (as in 2 hours).
What is Minecraft bedrock called now?
I'm pretty sure it's "sand" and "rock", but I'm not exactly sure.
Minecraft says that bedrock is just "sand" while vanilla was "stone/clay". This was also confirmed on a couple podcasts. Is there a solid explanation as to why it changed?
EDIT: I realize I asked the same thing in 2024, but the answer was that it should be "redstone/lava" until release day. Is this still the case? If so, how is it called in-game? The reason that Minecraft switched from using Stone and Rock to Sand and Stone has to do with the fact that Minecraft started to get a lot of attention on the internet. As Minecraft got more and more people starting playing it, naturally the internet started getting very busy with information about how to Minecraft and what mods you needed etc. The modding community decided to have a central page where they could all upload tips and tricks about modifying the server (in the server console). On the internet, information is king so if one web site told everyone about an "exclusive" way to do things, lots of people would click over to it and start reading because they didn't want to be left behind on important news that was for Minecraft fans only. So as the world got bigger the Minecraft servers began to use the modding guide so that each server could be a little unique. Since the guide was only in wiki form with a couple chapters of basic tutorials about modifying your server, the "stone" and "rock" were dropped. When Minecraft got released a version that let you choose what types of mods were loaded onto the server at launch, "rock" was set in stone and "sand" became "sand" with the bedrock mod installed. In a later version of the Minecraft client (1.7.10, or 1.2) you could simply go into the options menu and have sand and lava, rather than the "stone/clay" that it used to have, but "sand" or "stone" is now what it is supposed to be. Hope this helped! :)
Minecraft 1.6 - 1.8
After Minecraft launched, redstone/stones were only added as part of the bedrock mod. Redstone is a small piece of circuitry that can send signals which are used to operate gates/doors in Minecraft.
What is the difference between Minecraft Java and bedrock?
Is it like a server version with higher difficulty?
Both java and bedrock versions use the same map and world. Both are also playable on normal Minecraft for those who do not wish to download Java. Both allow for increased server memory which allows them to have even more features than normal Minecraft. Also all versions of Mineplex are compatible with each other; however you will only be able to use this feature if you also purchase one of our own plugins that supports the compatibility feature.
Minecraft PE - is it compatible with Minecraft PE? There are no differences between Java and Minecraft PE. Both are the exact same game.
How many mineplex servers can I join? You may join as many mineplex servers as you like using your mineplex account. If you do not know how many friends/family/friends-of-friends will be on a certain mineplex server, please make sure to search before joining the mineplex server.
Can I host my server or LAN session in a hotel or other place where internet connections are limited? No, you cannot. The internet connection is an important part of having a mineplex server. As a server admin, its your job to ensure a stable game-connection while running the server and playing the server. If the connection to the server drops due to an unstable connection in another place the admins work as hard as possible to get the connection working again so that the game can stay running smoothly. A good example of a unstable connection is when you travel. As a mineplex server admin you are responsible for running the server as efficiently as possible and having a stable game-connection. If you have to disconnect to a new city then the game-server must be switched off since the servers are usually powered by electricity (and we don't want to waste it). But most importantly you, the player, are not allowed to be disconnected from the server or you would violate the terms of our license.
Do you sell server licenses? You can buy Minecraft accounts from us. You can easily manage your mineplex game with one of the many user friendly mineplex clients available at the marketplace. Minecraft accounts allow you to play both client and server software so that it can remain online as long as possible. Some clients will allow you to transfer your game between your computer and the account. Some servers allow you to transfer players to another server.
