Can I use a VPN with Netflix on smart TV?

When I watch Netflix on my Samsung Smart TV (2015), I cannot watch content from my VPN service. I have tried a few different VPN services, but none of them work. My VPN provider is called Unblock-US.com. It has a lot of customer support. I've called and emailed, and never got any response.

I have read that they might be blocking IP addresses of their servers. The issue is very weird because my PC in the same house works fine with Netflix. I can watch content from my VPN and other websites just fine.

I'm trying to figure out why this is happening, so if someone could help me with this it would be really great. I'd be very grateful.

(I also tried to watch content from Hulu, and it did not work either.) My current solution is to watch content from sites like ABC, Fox, NBC, etc. So that's what I do. But I would prefer to use a VPN instead.

What happens when you try to use a VPN from a different country? For example, let's say you live in the US, and you use an IP address from Canada. Will it work? I don't know because I don't use a VPN service and I never tried to watch content from a VPN.
