When making http requests, the process of making the request and receiving a response are done simultaneously. You make an HTTP request one end and get the response on the other.

When creating proxies, we typically run a server and wait for connections. As soon as someone connects to us, we use the incoming connection to make a connection to the target website. The end result is that the proxy takes the incoming connection, opens a separate connection to the website, and sends the data from the original request over to the website using the new connection. The request has now been split into two pieces.

So your proxy is simply a tool to make this easier. It gives you an interface to send requests and receive responses without having to open two connections to another website at once.

A proxy list is a list of proxies for use when you are connecting to the Internet.

It may be downloaded directly from our website, but most people download them via email or an ftp site.

How to access a proxy list. To get the latest proxy list, or just look at the existing proxies, go to our Downloads page. If you have the list in your email program, just open it in the body of the email. If you don't have the list and want to get it, send us an email. The list will be posted in about 30 minutes.

How do you know your proxy list works? We don't need to know it works. We have a test site where we look up the results of a connection. We know the results are good if they match our test results.

You can also test your proxy list by going to the Test page. Just enter a site that you know has a low ping (such as "www.bing.

You can either select a proxy from the list or click the "Add" button at the bottom of the list.
