What is IPVanish used for?
- Trump VPN
What is a VPN? What are the best Virtual Private Networks or VPNs available? Extra resources: The eastern seaboard of North America is home to a large and well-known population of tech-savvy users. It's also the location of much computing innovation, due in part to familiar, easy-to-hit, short-haul internet connections and the people who use them.
That's not to say the technology behind internet traffic isn't doable by humans. It absolutely is, but to make the most use of a broadband connection users need expert support to mask their identity, convert their location, and encrypt their data. These experts are ostensibly what reveal the industry as a thriving field, with hundreds of companies bidding for their custom in online forums like BGR, Reddit, and Ask Me Anything sessions, from those on an hourly basis, to special events like TechCrunch Disrupt.
These experts have grown up working on VPNs, some starting as teenagers and still involved in the service today, after learning it in college. Others, of course, have learned the intricacies of VPNs at job, like president Donald Trump, who famously mentioned the service in the first State of the Union. We know a little bit about this group. But what we do not know, is how much the individuals involved in these companies make.
We hope, though, that we're moving toward filling that gap. A few weeks ago we offered you a dream schedule of crowdfunded highlights of VPNs, but budget crunched post production means that we can only really get to some of the highlights. But a funny thing happened as we dove into the IPVanish presentation. It turned out that not only is our dream schedule coming true; but we also that the staff of IPVanish are a lot like our readers. They're tech-minded, passionate, and have a bit of an encyclopedic sense for the industry. As a result, we had an ideathis could be a lot of fun.
To get together with some of our own staff, we went out and asked some, well, interesting questions of the folks in question. Along the way, we never intentionally set out to ferret for the most obscure questions about VPNs, but inevitably stumbled upon them.

Does IPVanish really work?
I've been using IPVanish for over a year and I really love it. I have a good connection in the US and a great connection in Canada. I don't even use the US connection for anything else.
I've had 2 issues with it, though. The first one is that I get a "System Error" message when I try to login to the website. I don't know if it's a bug or what but I can't login for the life of me. I also had an issue with my connection in Canada where it would randomly disconnect. I called the support line and they were able to fix it within minutes.
Anyways, the question is: ? I've been using it for over 3 years now and I've had no issues. I've had no connection issues and have been using it for everything I do on the Internet.
I have been using it for over a year. I've had some issues with the software but it's been great.

Is IPVanish free?
I just signed up for a month of service on IPVanish.com. They claim to be the best VPN for streaming, but I haven't found any proof of that. I've heard that paid VPNs are just as good, or better, for streaming. I'm not sure if I want to pay to stream, or just watch regular TV for free.
There are several free VPNs out there, and I usually recommend them when I have to recommend something. However, I have never tried IPVanish so I can't really vouch for them.
I have heard of IPVanish being a decent VPN, but I have also heard IPVanish could be a scam, so I am hesitant to recommend it. IPVanish offers a free 7 day trial, and they give you a free month after that. So I would say yes, IPVanish is free, but I can't vouch for them.
What do you think? IPVanish offers a 7 day free trial, and they give you a free month after that. VPNs are great. But I don't think they're what you want for streaming.
That said, I'm still going to suggest we have a poll on this. I mean, if you are going to watch TV online or stream video, you need to have a VPN. But if you are going to just watch regular TV or Netflix, you probably want something else. A lot of people here are looking for a VPN for streaming, but as I said, I don't think they are.
