What coding is used for Selenium?

How much coding is required for Selenium?

I'm currently researching Selenium for a project and I'm just wondering how much coding you actually need. I've read some people say that Selenium is very easy to learn but the documentation looks rather complicated to me.

I know this question may be off-topic for SO but I figured I'd ask it anyway. The way I see it, with a bit of testing, Selenium is like a Swiss army knife. You can use it for web site testing, testing desktop applications, and mobile applications. You need to be able to navigate the web browser (and whatever GUI the app you're testing is using), create and manipulate the DOM, and click on buttons.

To answer your question, Selenium has a number of different frameworks you can use to perform your tests. Selenium RC: This is a Java based API for selenium webdriver. Selenium WebDriver: This is a Java based API for selenium webdriver. JUnit: This is an open source testing framework that is used in conjunction with Selenium. I know this doesn't answer your question directly, but I hope it gives you a better idea.
